well, here: won outright won outright won outright 9 points in second half. Extremely easy winner. Won outright. -4 or -4.5 and they won by 17. Easy cover. I also try to track my plays on a spreadsheet. As for tonight, I posted my pick for SNF in the Virtual Vegas event thread, but it sounded like no one was interested here, so I didn't bother.
I'm pretty sure I won't be betting Stanford tonight. I did find an interesting angle on the game, thanks to a poster at SBR.
I like Seattle this weekend. I wish I could be on just before the game, but in any case I'm picking them.
Their getting 10.5 the place I go. Thats one of the biggest playoff spreads i can recently remember for a home team. Im still scared to take that. Im going to do a teaser with the Saints.
Me too.. I might do a 3 teamer this week, the Saints down to a pickem, then you get a 2 team 10 point teaser pretty much because there is not a chance in hell the Saints are going to lose that game. Cover 10.5 I'm not sure, but definitely won't lose. Saints -0.5 Jets +13 Packers +13
Bill Simmons is advocating that one big time. I listen to his podcasts and he's doing a three team 10 pointer because he considers taking New Orleans a free win. I think they could lose, but teasing them down to PK is attractive to many, I'm sure.
Yeah I can't imagine them losing. I listen to Simmons too.. he was great in his Hilton contest this year, but a lot of his "thinking out loud" ideas for bets this year have been awful haha. I wouldn't touch the Saints game unless teasing it either way, but I think the Jets are a good bet and I have a sneaky suspicion about the Chiefs if you can get them at 3.5 or 4. What do you think this week?
^^ sorry, I was away. I'm not sure about Ravens/Chiefs. Probably no bet. My only bets so far was Seattle spread and Seattle ML. In live betting, I took the over because Bodog had a line several points lower than it should've been.
Jets are set up for a good Wong teaser, if anyone wants to try one. +2 tease to +8 not sure what the other leg should be, though. I guess you could do GB as well, because they're in the same range. I lean Philly, though. Not sure if I'm going to tease. OK, I am. Bodog is offering good lines on dogs, as usual. So I'm teasing up the three dogs. New York Jets +10 Football - NFL Lines WILD CARD PLAYOFFS - Point Spread Sat@8:05p (Teased 7.0 points) Kansas City Chiefs +10½ Football - NFL Lines WILD CARD PLAYOFFS - Point Spread Sun@1:00p (Teased 7.0 points) Green Bay Packers +10 Football - NFL Lines WILD CARD PLAYOFFS - Point Spread Sun@4:30p (Teased 7.0 points) This comes at a +140 price. Best part about Bodog is they offer higher odds at an increased cost, but that doesn't matter when you tease it. in other words, teasing a +3 (-110) is the same as teasing a +3 (-125) so I simply took all the inflated lines, which would cost more individually, and teased them all together.
I have nothing for today's games. Sitting on that teaser I mentioned yesterday. Baltimore line remained steady at 3, as I expected. Philadelphia line dropped, which is mildly surprising. I thought -2.5 or -3 was fair. It's down to 2 or 1.5 now.
after my post, late money came in hard on KC as often happens, sharps (so-called bettors who have a lot of money and know what they're doing) hit KC hard and drove it down to KC +3 (-112) or so.
better off doing ML with such a low line, I would think. I never take +1-+2.5 if I can avoid it. I either take ML or tease it up. The likelihood of it landing within that range is quite slim.
