I'm sick of hearing that Peyton has owned Rex for his entire life. The whole 5-1 record is nonsence. I looked at the stats from the Ravens-Colts playoff game and this is what I found

    Peyton Manning:

    15/30
    170 Yards
    0 Touchdowns
    2 Interceptions

    http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=270113033

How is that owning in anyway? Sure Peyton has had the advantage over Rex but he hasn't "owned" him. Media needs to lay off this whole Manning owns Rex thing...

congrats, you picked a single game between peyton/rex.

their are 5 other games between the two that make up the 5-1 record for peyton over rex.

You want to make an argument about this, average the stats from all of their games (if you want to remove one, remove the game peyton only played the first half

Manning is 7-0 against the Ryan family in games that he doesnt get benched.

That is definitely should be cause for concern.

Even though we should still be favored saturday

I dunno, I kinda agree with OP. It seems like every time jets play the colts, manning figures out the d in a quarter and the game is over..... rex needs to make adjustments and blitz manning every down, that way he can't throw under pressure

This is because the people that talk about these kinds of things have determined that football is a one man game. They know that there are no good or bad teams, just good and bad quarterbacks. So no matter how good or bad the QB plays, they will be judged by the outcome of the game. So if Manning throws for 400 yards and 4 touchdowns and Sanchez throws for 150 0 TDs and a 3 INTs but somehow the Jets win, it will undoubtedly be because Sanchez used his "clutch gene" to will the Jets to victory and Manning choked in a playoff game.

Getting revenge sounds great and all but i just dont see us stopping the passing attack of peyton. Yeah he has a couple of big time receivers out but he still has wayne, garcon and the new TE has stepped up big. If we can't get consistant pressure this game will be over.

You say that he is 5-1 against Rex, and pick 1 bad game.

Think about that for a second.

(Unless you're soxxx, then think about it longer)

I don't follow basketball so I've never seen this. What a great reaction! Can you tell me who it is and the circumstances?

That is Ronny Turiaf who went to Gonzaga was drafted by the Lakers and then signed with Golden State. He was traded to the Knicks this offseason as part of the David Lee deal. I have no idea what the situation was though.

That's only one game and he still found a way to win. Manning has owned rex's D's, this is the one D that makes him look good in January.

Turiaf is famous for his exaggerated elation on the bench. If he attended a slam-dunk contest, I fear he would explode.

    P.S.
    Ronny Turiaf is awesome.

Thanks. I love the way the guy in the t-shirt next to him is smiling at his reaction.
