So why was Taylor man to man on Forte?

    I keep watching the game and still don't understand...he was clearly beat out the first play, and they let him do it again..

    Whats Rex's reasoning.

    none, I just think they screwed up on the coverage, or Taylor didn't get a good hit on him off the line...

    My only guess was that they were expecting to get pressure on the QB and not have to worry about Taylor covering Forte far down field but I don't remember exactly how many we sent at the QB that play so it's hard to say.

    they were expecting forte to stay in and block so taylor had responsibility on him figuring he was gonna be ablocker but when he ran out of the backfield it was taylor's job to cover him. had he stayed in and blocked taylor would have been rushing the passer

    Maybe he was supposed to knock him over before he could do anything.
