They just ranked us on ESPN, saying we had the 23rd ranked run d. They have us ranked at the bottom of the league for every category so far.
This is a "what have you done for me lately" league. The same reason we were ranked so high after a good 2004 campaign. In all honesty, we will probably be somewhere between those 2 teams, not as good as 2004 and not as bad as 2005.
I have no problem with being ranked at the bottom of every catagory. this is not the same ole JETS(hopefully). Fellas, we stunk last year. If we are to be a team to be reckoned with then we need to prove it. Until that happens we will be at the bottom of it all and, in my opinion, deservidley so. Pardon my spelling.
I'm not really surprised by this ranking because ESPN is very predictable. However, I don't really see us being that weak against the run this year. We have Ellis, Kimo, Vilma, Barton, and Kassel who are all are solid and proven veterans against the run. Barring injuries, I think our run D will be perfectly fine this year.
I can see why we are ranked so low considering our run D was fairly bad last year. But it will probably be better this year considering we should have a better qb this year and in turn a better offense. The run D last year was really affected by the offense who couldn't eat up any clock.
I agree with you. Our offense was so bad last year they could not stay on the field and give the defense some rest.
