No pass rush = early exit in the playoffs

Coleman is our best pass rusher..He b-lows in coverage. Send the safties all day, let the backers pick up the riff raff.

We need to do some serious work on the D-line this offseason. Not so sure about the LB's and corners. I am not much of a poole fan either. I would love for Jenks to come back for one more year and bring in Haynesworth. Yes, I am implying that we should go back to a 4-3

The D-coordinator can go as well. Get me a guy in here who can run the 4-3 effectively and lets get a pass rushing end. That can work here. Lets go all D in the draft and maybe add a nice offensive lineman, a project Bruce Campbell type who can have an impact down the road. We'll be straight.

 

I really think it is in this teams best interest to go back to a 4-3. We don't have a dominating outiside backer, or a great one at that. If you get Jenks to sign on for one more year, bring in Haynesworth and draft a DE in Round 1 (plus free agency) this will fix our pass rushing problems. I think Calvin Pace is very overrated and could care less if he is back next year. My only concern is that Rex wants nothing to do with going to a 4-3.

 

Ah yes with the history Rex has with a 3-4 defense. Fire everyone and go to a 4-3. Genius pure genius.

 

I, for one, am pretty tired of hearing that this is a "great" defense. Mediocre at best.

 

That's a terrible idea, we need to do something fix up this D, not set it back for a season or two.

So how do we fix up the D? Without a great Nose Tackle, this will be a tough problem to fix. Plus, relying on Jenkins to come back next year is not a good idea

Um, no, are you implying our defense is playing like the #5 D in the league? I mean I know thats what we are according to the stats, but after this game we probably drop. Laugh away I guess.

 

You can't play a 3-4 unless you have 3 kick-ass pass rushers, or at least 2.

The Jets have NONE.

 

The coverage outside of Cromartie and Revis is terrible, but when we send defensive backs at the Qb we make plays happen.

 

We need to draft well, there is no reason to switch to 4-3 just to get Haynesworth who is a complete fucking asshole. We have to draft smart that's all their is to it. The front 7 is old, they need some young blood and we will see progress right away, lets just hope we get a hold of some good players.

I bet about 10 to 12 other defenses maybe more would laugh at that. This defense blows late leads. Blew it against Cleveland. Houston, etc. we lucked out
