I agree. Curtis has always been a warrior for the Jets. It isn't his fault we haven't won the big one with him on the roster.

jkgrandchamp: I don't see why the need for hostility. I have generated discussion with my posts and have contributed to the forums with other posts. I have provided people with the ability to view ESPN clips they have missed. I don't see why I need to be called an idiot. I promise you I do have a very good source in the organization, not claiming I made the source by my own work (How could a 19 year old kid get a source by himself?). I understand that not everyone will like what I post, but I assume that if most people do enjoy it, it is worth it.
Why is he underrated? Martin has been a better than average, but never great, back for his entire career. His best attributes has been durability, consistency and longevity; those are not characteristics that ususally get a ton of press. He got the recognition relative to his abilities. Do you think it should be an all out media frenzy whenever Martin gets his usual 1,000 yards on 300 carries season? The only way Martin would get or deserve more recognation would be if he won a championship.
I think Martin is overrated actually. But I love the guy nonetheless. I like how he approaches the game, and I like how he blocks for pass protection. I think he was a bit overpaid in his career, but you just have to give the guy a pass on that with him taking a huge paycut now. Absolute class act.
I too believe he is a bit overrated but wanted to refrain from mentioning that to avoid getting bombarded by the Martin apologists.
The thread title here surely would have pinged the steam valves of many who read the board. I am by no means "God's gift to Threads and Posts", but I would have opted for a different title.
I thought the thread title was witty and attention grabbing. I wasn't trying to trick anyone (IE: Jets Make MONSTER trade), just a joke. No misinformation. But I appreciate the feedback, and I take everything said about me and the site as constructive criticism. I only want to make the site better!
