Are people seriously still upset that Tebow loves Jesus? That is almost as irrational as believing in Jesus.
Erm..... what was the point of the Superbowl ad, then? I know the arguments about it not being a religious thing and the fact that he could have been aborted yadda yadda yadda, but the fact is that he was preaching a morality position, and allied to his now outlawed scripture face paintings it's pretty hard to make a case for him not pushing a religious position.
He's not pushing anything on anyone. People are allowed to make their own decisions. I doubt that many people started going to church because of Tim fucking Tebow. I'm sure Tim Tebow got paid plenty of cash to be in that commercial. I'm pro-choice, but if some company paid me to go on TV and say that I'm against abortion, I'd do it.
Everyone's morality is for sale to some extent, it depends upon the price. I have to confess that I'm a little unsure as to whether the NFL would have any jurisdiction over his behaviour at that point, but I'd like to think that if they had they would have prevented him from doing it. I've less problem with you doing it than I do Tebow - you wouldn't be using your position as a prominent sports personality to push the position. I appreciate that from a legal perspective I'm probably off beam and he has every right to do what he did, but I'm allowed to think he's an objectionable wanker for doing so.
I did. You are obviously anti-Tebow and your trying to tell Mr. E that Tebow is too preachy or something like that. I don't think that is the case at all so it leads me to believe you just don't like him because he has made his faith known.
I'm sure there will be commercials pushing baby killing by other athletes soon enough. Sanchez could do it I hear he's a dick to kids.
I'm tired of Ray Lewis in all these commercials preaching for me to use Old Spice body wash. I believe in Axe products.
I took the Broncos to win outright today because of Tebow. I don't know if I would have taken Denver if Kyle Orton was still the starter. Tebow's obviously a different type of quarterback, but I think he can succeed in the NFL.
