Guys like me have watched this season and how we have won games, and luck has been riding with us. As far as I'm concerned we have been found out and teams know how to stop us now, and relying on the D every game just isn't working. Put into the mixer that we have a heart attack of a kicker and the remainder of this season isn't looking very good. Ironically the Jets remind me of last seasons Bengals where they turned to garbage right at the end of the season.
Knowing how to stop us? I could not disagree anymore with that. We stopped ourselves. If Mark is on than we win that game against the Phins, if the receivers and oline are their normal selves we win that game. It's not about be stopped it's about our team executing, throwing the ball accurately, catching the ball, and giving Mark enough time to make a smart decision.
If Polamalu doesn't play 24-14 Jets. If he does play, 20-17 Steelers. The Steelers were a mediocre team without him last year. He is more important to their defense than Jim Leonhard was to ours.
At one point we could move the ball on the ground, now we can't, our fault not anyone elses, but yes if Sanchez doesn't shit himself we can move the ball. The receiving core need to take a look in the mirror as well. So yes, its twofold
Gus this season is taking its toll on you! You are normally full of optimisim and beer now its just beer!!! Come on!!!!!! We can whoop these fuckers!!!! Believe !!!!
Well ... what you call "luck", are the same breaks that happen every week to every team inthe NFL. Like the call the Steelers got to win that Miami game ... or that dropped TD pass that won the Buffalo game for them ... Or that dopped pass at their 4 yard line to save the MNF game against those dogshit Bengals you mentioned. Every team gets good breaks and bad breaks. Pittsburgh deserves to be favored, and it will take alot to beat them in their own building ... but I'd be willing to bet these last three games won't look anything like the past two. Do you really think we'll go the rest of the year without scoring?
Your not wrong, for my sins I watched the Pats game over and over looking for something positive to take out of it, but honestly, I couldn't find a thing. The worst part about that loss is that the Pats were completely unspectacular and seemed to expose a host of weaknesses. A week later we played a horrible Phins team, and look what happened. I really thought that this was going to be the year and totally bought into it. It still might be, but I'm finding it very hard to believe. :jets:
Absolutely, no arguments there. Do I think we will go the rest of the season without scoring?: Of course not, but more points than our opponents? Right now, No.
I actually started planning for play off games at home and using my air miles!! But we both love this team and thats why it hurts to see the last two weeks but hey we will both be dancing in the dark on Sunday night if we win!! ( one for the uk twilight hours fans!!)
I have them winning, no? I just don't see us playing well offensively. I think our guys will catch passes to get us into FG range, Folk comes thru and our defense plays really well.
Well here's the good news: Pitt ... 19th in Total Offense Chicago ... 30th in Total offense Buffalo ... 26th in Total Offense Not exactly juggernauts ... actually all ranked well behind us (12th). Our defense should keep us in all three games.
Why is it "New York Football Jets" in the poll? I thought only the Giants went by that, to differentiate themselves from the San Fransisco Giants.
