James was in the office yesterday. Stomach thing. Got more IVs, he'll be fine for Sunday. Miller was released by doc yesterday and the Troy thing has me baffled cause this is news to us here. Totally unconfirmed.
"Troy Polamalu (Ankle) "is not expected to play" against the Jets on Sunday, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Polamalu has been named AFC defensive player of the week for the past two games, and he's been responsible for difference-making plays in the past three. After aggravating his lower leg injury on last week's pick-six, he'll be replaced by Ryan Mundy or Will Allen. It's a major downgrade for the Steelers in an important AFC matchup. It's also a blow to Pittsburgh's fantasy D/ST this week, though they remain a top-five option." Just Google it, every source in the country is carrying it. http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/40715794/ns/sports-player_news/ http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/...ely_to_play_vs_jets/srvc=home&position=recent http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/12/17/steelers-troy-polamalu-unlikely-to-play-vs-jets/ http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2010/12/17/troy-polamalu-reportedly-will-miss-week-15-game-vs-jets/
Herm Edwards' decision to take a knee 2x in regulation when we had already missed a FG from that range and had Curtis Fucking Martin was pretty retarded too.
This obviously would be huge if Polamalu and Miller did not play. It would make things a lot easier for Sanchez as he wouldnt have to pay as much attention to where Polamalu is on the field at all times.
I'll believe it when I see it. His ability to turn the game around scares me more than anybody in the league.
Just saying not confirmed yet. This is just news to this office. Troy hasn't been here and he would have been seen here. Friday's walk through hasn't happened yet, so could be possible. Doc's at Steelers clinic so I have no way of asking him right now. As of yesterday, he was fine as was Miller. James is definitely fine.
After gameplanning all week that Troy would be in I wonder if it is helpful. Like I said in the other thread, Flacco just avoids the "hair". I was thinking Sanchez would likely try and do the same. Of course he's better than his backups but now the gameplan changes.
LOL, kinda doubtful. I'm just shocked I knew nothing about Troy being injured. When they're hurt, they're here. I know he kinda hobbled after his first interception Sunday, but he was fine. I'm hearing knee, Achilles tendon, no one here knows of any injury. They could be taking precautions and sit him which would make sense. At this time of the year, have him healthy for the post season and don't risk anymore serious injury during the regular season. Again, that's just my guess.
I wish. I just work with the Steelers docs, one of which isn't here today, he's at Steelers clinic. That's why I'm surprised, I always know of injuries, so this one just came out of the blue.
LOL, no such excitement here. I just do the IVs, flu shots and blood samples, etc. It's pretty routine, they're just normal guys.
