We still play defense well. The pats offense destroyed the steelers, jets, and bears defense does that mean all 3 of those teams can't play d. I am always of the opinion that if you get in you deserve it.
I agree that we do have a playoff calibur defense, it's just that at this stage I just don't see how we score any points... its maddening.
These next two games will really decide if we belong in the playoffs or not. Right now its questionable. We have shown the ability to grind out tough victories and we have also shown that our offense can lay an egg. If our offense can right the ship (thats a big if) then I thing we have shot to compete in the playoffs.
If you get into the playoffs you deserve to be there. Its not like some miracle team will miss out if the New York Jets get in.
If the Jets make the playoffs then they deserve to be a playoff team. Why do Jets fans make this argument every single year????? This is not college football. The playoffs are determined by on the field performance over 16 games. If 10-6 gets a wild card, then the Jets deserve to be a wild card. Period. And I would love to play Jacksonville or KC in that first playoff game.
