Funny thing, The STEELERS as we speak are changing their blitzing scheme to attack this side.

If Shotty has any semblance of being an OC he will know to attack the blitzing side.
Screens, Counters etc....

It's arthroscopic knee surgery, so if we make it to the playoffs, he should be able to play I think.

 

At least we know ahead of time this week...and won't lose him 2 plays into the game.


Hopefully that means we won't see Wayne Hunter 1on1 with James Harrison.

Grew up in Syracuse (season ticket holders blah blah). They're fun to watch and a top 10 program at the moment. They'll let you down every once in awhile but they'll almost never break your heart. Probably not going to be a championship run this year but they'll wreak some havoc.

If you want to avoid "bandwagon" comments...The Virginia Military Institute is a fun one. They're Div I but because it's a military school it's tough to get blue chip recruits so instead they get 10 guys all of decent skill and they play a full court press all game with a self imposed 5-10 second shot clock on offense subbing liberally the entire time. It's 100% run and gun. The thought being that most teams only really go about 7-8 deep and if you can make those guys wear themselves out early and get a little hot shooting you can cause problems for them. They managed to get a couple top 25 votes already this year so they're not just a gimmick.

 

I believe Harrison is usually lined up on the other side. But Woodley is over on what would be Hunters' side which is just as bad.

I hope so... but he didn't do it for the last two games Hunter was in... hope 3 is the magic number for his brain!

 

Harrison is usually on that side but wouldn't he be able to switch when there's an obvious mismatch like Wayne Hunter?

I don't know why you would have to with a talent like LaMarr Woodley on the other side.

 

I'm not so worried about draft choices (who often flame out) as I am about the rest of this season. Hunter is awful.
