Announcers* I don't mind Ian Eagle but Dan Fouts has to be one of the worst announcers I have ever seen. There were so many things that he said that were totally off like the sideline Holmes play where he thought his back foot wasn't on the ground when he caught the ball...
Anybody remember in "The Waterboy" when Brent Musberger and Dan Fouts are announcing the Bourbon Bowl, and Musberger just keeps shitting on Fouts? I was hoping Ian Eagle would do that.
Ian Eagle is fine, Fouts is awful ...Millen and Theismann are worse though There are too many terrible announcers to even discuss.
I was saying the same thing. Fouts is a Joke. As much as I/we hate dierdorf, clowns like fouts or millen or theissmann make him seem like the cream of the crop.
I like Ian Eagle. I don't man-crush on him like Gus Johnson, but Ian doesn't annoy me and that's really all I can ask for in an announcer. But Dan Fouts is awful. He called Santonio Holmes, "San Antonio"... and didn't correct himself. You could tell that Fouts was unfamiliar with a lot of the players. In the beginning of the game, there was a play involving Bart Scott and Fouts goes, "and there's #57... (awkward silence for a few seconds as Fouts scrambles to figure out who #57 is) BART SCOTT!". Same thing happened with David Harris where Fouts just mentioned #52 but didn't bother to look up who Harris was. Atrocious job by Fouts. It's not like this was Fouts' first time announcing; he's been doing it for a while.
You know what was fun? Hearing why a play should have resulted in a Jets penalty 3 times in 10 minutes.
lol...he must have said san antonio 20 times i mean, just absolutely awful. the guy probably doesn't do any preparation
