Fear not! Brian Schottenheimer has a plan! I dunno, seems like it could work?
Do we have TOO MUCH talent? I've personally played on 'stacked' teams in several sports and the one feeling that always creeps in is the lack of urgency to play exceptionally well in order to win the game. Having a bad day on offense? No problem, Revis will get a turnover. Having a bad day on defense? No problem, Sanchez will pull of 50 yarder out of his ass. Having a bad day on offense AND defense? No problem, Brad Smith will run one back for 7. When players are surrounded by 30 other talented players each capable of making the 'big play' it's easy to get lazy, or at least not play lights out. Contrast this to Keyshawn in the Jags playoff game and you see me point. Not saying a team full of talent 'has' to be lazy, just saying it tends to be the case.
No, we clearly don't. If we had a 26 year old Jason Taylor, an unhurt Kris Jenkins, and a 26 year old LaDanian then we wouldn't have a problem.
Hmmm, maybe we should cut Holmes, Greene, and Harris just to make sure. I would hate to have this too much talent syndrome carry over into the playoffs.
Leave it to some Jet fans to overrate the talent. If the talent was too good, we would of scored more than 3 points last game.
"Do we have too much talent?" Through 12 games, including two overtime victories, the largest margin of victory has been 16 points against the 2 and 10 Bengals (26-10). So no, I don’t believe there is too much talent. If there ever was then I'd vote for Al Davis for the win.
Ouch, I missed week four.... Thanks 94Abraham !!!!!!1111 Between messing up (and needing to figure out) "quotes" and moving the topic to the Cesspool thread. It's hard for a Newbie to thank you for correctly calling me out. Hey at least my post count is closer to being able to use the links. /filler???
