Is he starting or depth? If he is a starter, no I don't want him since he won't play a full role. If he is coming in to play spot duty and give us a boost with our reserves, we will be well served to have him.

That said Rex wants guys who can actually stay on the field, too be honest I wonder about Sanders ability to get a job for next year with his almost comical injury history

As others mentioned, he's too much of an injury risk for my taste. If you can get him for a cheap contract, then I would do it. He is a fast, hard hitter.

I'm not sure we'll have any money leftover for any significant FA additions after we (hopefully) resign Harris, Holmes/Edwards/Smith, and Cromartie.

Well thats why the Sanders move seems interesting for that exact reason. He is going to be quite cheap. If the Colts arent willing to stick with him for 5.5 million arent even even going to attempt to trade or restructure his deal it means this guy should be seeing similar numbers to LT or Jason Taylor.

That would make him likely cost not too much more than Pool or Smith which is the only reason id bring this up.

The Jets could sign Colonel Sanders and get the same amount of games out of him.

we already have a high-priced dude who spends more time hurt than on the field: jenkins! better off seeing if we can make a santonio deal for a 6th or 7th with the skins for haynesworth. put him at de, and since he already got most of his jack from the skins, tanny can re-do his contract to fit under the cap. besides, ellis and some others might be leaving.:breakdance:

Youd seriously want to give up Santonio AND a draft pick for Haynesworth ?

Hes getting cut and probably never going to play again on top of that, and I sure as shit dont wanna give up the best player on our offense for em.

I think I speak for every sane Jets fan no fucking way in the world do I want to give up ANYTHING at all to get Haynesworth. The guy is hands down the laziest most unmotivated piece of shit in the nfl. This guys more of a team cancer than TO could ever dream of being.

If you wanna discuss picking the shit bag up as a free agent and giving him a piss ass contract to prove himself thats one thing, but to go give up a motivated star player for him is nuts

Because he's done so well and been so willing to play on a 3-4 team this season? I really hope I'm just missing the sarcasm in this one.

I think he was talking about a fifth round pick. A santonio deal. Not a santonio. I still wouldn't want the fucking slob.

He has shown zero.evidence.that.he can stay healthy. Kind of like Chicago's Mike Brown who also had a ton of talent but never could stay healthy.
