This game and the way its being run now is a fucking joke. The flag is understandable at full-speed. But to levy a fine after watching the slo-mo replays? Fuck you, NFL. Play here, if you haven't seen it:
They need to just go ahead and put the flags on the QB and get it over with. What is even more sickening are these QBs constantly bitching for a flag.
I saw that and didn't even think it warranted a flag... it's not even like Cutler is one of the NFL's poster boys. Absolute disgraceful job by the NFL. Could you imagine if it was Manning, Suh would have been suspended for the rest of year. Then again maybe they wanted to send a message that they don't just defend Manning and Brady so they go after a guy for a garbge push.
Agreed... he was a QB rushing so it's fair game. NFL officiating sucks when it comes to defending QBs like they are gods.
I don't even see it at full speed? Is there any doubt that Goodell should be grand marsha at next year's Village Gay Pride parade?
I also love the fact that Suh doesn't react to it at all. Most players jump up and down, and bitch about it. He's just got this dead-stare on his face, like "I don't give a fuck".
Yup. I saw the Suh hit. This is a fucking Joke. They're f*ng with Suh, whil Haloti nata breaks Rapelisberger's nose and there is not a flag. (I know they fined him, but in the case of a boy named Suh, no flag, no fine)
What's worse is the NFL adding onto the bullshit by fining him. I don't know if the Bears scored a TD on that drive but you have to feel bad fro Detroit getting screwed by the refs in two seperate games this year. Does it surprise anybody that Hoculi was involved in this? Was the line Chicgao - 3 1/2?
Are the really fining him because he touched the douchebag's helmet? That happens multiple time per game to RBs and WRs. It's bad enough I watch a shitbag team every week. But to have to sit through and also watch the dogshit calls they've been getting this year is making it extremely hard to stay with the NFL. Add in the ridiculous fine and it just makes me ... disgruntled.
if it wasn't hte next play it was only a few plays after. or at least that's how i read it on nfl.com. i didn't see the game, so its possible i could be full of shit. well. i mean, i am full of shit, but in the context of this post i may not be edit: the lion fan confirmed it.
How bad is the officiating in your games when a player from within the division makes a comment like this? Visanthe, via Twitter, after seeing the Suh/Cutler play:
I bet Pereira said something like "well in game speed it looks like a flag so I don't blame my boy...err...the refs"
if you ever had any doubts that the NFL (or any league) simply defends its officials to continue the charade of quality this is it. it is as if they think if they fine him everyone who knows better will somehow believe the call was the right call becaus eit has been validated by the league.
Pretty much. He said something about it being a judgment call, really?, and one you have to live with. Great insight I know. The best is the color guy asking if Cutler was a runner 8 yards past the LOS.
