I keep on hearing from Rex that we were built to win games in December and January. I still haven't figured out how exchanging Thomas Jones for Tomlinson makes that so... We shall see...
Maybe more like Greene to be Jones and LT to be LT... They wanted a back who could catch passes and they didn't want to pay Jones. I can't really argue to hard against that except for the fact that it seems to me that Greene is not big enough to just keep handing off too, and LT is too old to just keep handing off too. Neither has shown the ability to get the tough yards that we probably took for granted from Jones.. The way I see our passing game, even with all that talent, it will always feed off a big, tough running game. I wonder if Connor can run?
Yeah, I think they expected a lot more out of Greene after the way he finished last year, and have been saved by the fact that LT gave them more than they probably planned on.
The one who can keep the chains moving. The one who can get a first down when you HAVE to have it. The one you can give the ball to on first and goal on the 5 and will get it in. Our running game has not been that this year. (Yeah, I know, Schotty's fault..) btw, which one is on the best rushing team, by far, in football this year?
They were saying two weeks ago that now that it's December it's Shonn Greene time. It may still happen. I like Greene a lot. He did run well Monday night and we'll never know if it would have mattered had the game been close.
I just want snow, It is way better than rain. Monday night vs Vikings sucked but was very easy to get out of the parking lots!!
it will never been Shonn Greene time as long as brainless Schottenheimer decides that he doesn't want to be bothered with using Greene on the ground game.
After the pick on the opening possession of the half down 21 that was about it for the running game. I did think Greene looked better than he has all year, hopefully that's a trend.
More like Greene to be a healthy Jones but with more talent. Or Greene could be LT in his prime if given the chance, but not catch as well. Greene could also be Leon if Leon was heavier, ran downhill, and didn't have a wooden leg. LT could be Jones, but not really he's more like Leon except he has two meaty legs and is just better. So LT is actually Leon if Leon was LT. Greene is actually Jones, but younger and isn't as dark.
Bring a tent, keep the steaks dry. As for the fans at the game? Looks like we are getting wet. TIP: Make sure you have dry clothes in the car for after the game. Sucks driving home with wet socks and pants.
