Let's hope they can use the next two weeks to get better on offense. Anyone who thinks the Lions and Browns will be cakewalks are kidding themselves. The Lions can score in bunches and the Browns have been a scrappy team. Hell they beat the Saints a few weeks ago. So they can beat anybody on a good day.
and the bills almost beat the ravens, pats and chiefs. there are no gimmes in football, period. any team can beat any team on any given sunday. but that said, a superior team that plays a decent ballgame will beat an inferior opponent. mistakes are how good teams lose like that. drew brees threw what....4 int's and 2 pick six's? helluva a lot of mistakes. last i checked the ravens and packers have winning records and were pre season super bowl favorites/contenders. i don't think we'll lose to the sub .500 teams this year. i really don't
The trick obviously is stop LT and make Sanchez beat you. We don't really use Greene as much anymore so when Smith comes in, you know its some form of the WC. Sanchez and our WR's have to start stringing together monster games to regain some resemblance of respect as no one really fears our passing game. That said, pray we outscore the Lions next week or some around here will be suicidal.
Just wanted to keep this thread intact as a reminder...Shit happens. There are no positives from this game other than that this was a team that showed up extremely flat. We got blown out and did not show up. HOWEVER, we are 1 game out of the division with 4 games remaining. Anything can still happen and the biggest positive is that this was not a playoff game. We just got beat, lets move and get ready for a pivotal game next week.
who gives a shit what other people say. i'm just gonna avoid watching sports news and newspaper. jets can still get it together and win. until playoff time, it means nothing.
It means we probably aren't winning the division (again). It means we need to win 3 road playoff games to get to the SB. Sadly, it means we probably aren't making the SB.
So you are going to look at power rankings now? When does the country dictate how this team will perform? Whatever...All I know is after games against the Ravens and especially the Packers we came back. This is a regular season game that we completely looked pathetic. Move on and look forward to the pivotal game next week...NE's schedule is no cupcake either
positives: it's only football. the jets suck and will never be champs, but there is more to life than football. pick something else to back.
Holmes, Mangold, Slauson, Brick (kind of), Greene, Revis, LT (kind of) had good games. Most everyone else was horrible.
