At this point in making this thread, it's 38-3 NE. Can this team overcome this game? Yes, 9-3 is what it appears to be, 9-3. However, we got bullied by the Patriots, in all three aspects of the game. We still have to play the Dolphins and Bills, who are sure to play us hard knowing they can be spoilers, and the Steelers and Bears, both playoff teams.
We won't know until the Miami game. It could be a wake up call it could be a collapse. We won't know tho until we see how the react. We need to remember even tho this was hyped to be the super bowl it is still a regular season game. It was a big one but it is what it is.
This team mailed this game in tonight in front of the entire NFL nation. We won't get any respect from Nobody going forward so if this team has any heart at all, we'll find out over the next 4 games. Perhaps Rex can dump his standup routine now and start coaching again?
Bah "meant to be" is horseshit. They weren't even prepared. Mentally, physically, tactically....call it whatever you want, but if you don't prepare a loss is definitely "meant to be"
if not they are in a lot of trouble...Lose to Miami you get Pitt and Chicago on the road...would need to beat Buffalo to make the playoffs on the last day of the season and tie breakers would come into play. Next week really could be the season
Jets were in LALA land tonite, seems like Bellicheat put something in their water, never seen them so out of it before.
We need 1 win to practically lock up a playoff seed. This is terrible but we can definately rebound from this.
Everyone needs to relax, yes this game sucks so hard for us all jet fans! Because we all believe in them (well most of us) but look we have still another 4 games! were 9-3 and tonights game footage should be burned, everyone on the team sucked! so at this point we need short memory. LETS KILL THE DOLPHINS!!!!!!!!!!! LETS GOOOOO! CAN I GET A DAMN JETS CHANT IN HERE !!! J.E.T.S...
In his press conference, Rex seems confindent that the team will bounce back. Said how he'd play Miami right now if he his team would. I hope they trounce on the Phins
one thing about this team so far this year....after we've played stinkers and lost, we've strung off winning streaks. 5 games after the ravens, 4 games after the packers. so they're resilient. but i've never seen them so deflated MID game. that was horrible. i don't think it'll carry over to the next game.it helps that the dolphins suck and we're playing in the meadowlands
We'll bounce back... it was one game. These guys kicked our ass last year too and we went to the AFC title game. It was one really bad game. We essentially hold a 2 game lead over the teams that are in the on the outside looking in. I'd much rather be in the Jets shoes then the Ravens. We'll be fine.
No, I don't think the team can overcome this. But then the Pats overcame nearly as big a loss to the Browns so anything is possible, but if you ask me the answer is No because the Jets showed absolutely no desire to win in this game. They showed no heart. There is no coming back from that.
It's psychological. The Jets now know they can't beat the good teams when they face them. They can't beat Baltimore, they can't beat Green Bay, they can't beat New England, and they won't beat Pittsburgh either. It was fun for a while wasn't it?
