Got to thinking of how crazy some of the things we do on gameday... so, I ask you, Jets Fans, what strange superstitions do you follow on gameday? Same jersey, same green undershirt or boxers?
Same jersey. Have to watch the opening kickoff. Or at least be present in a room where a tv is on with it. Whenever I don't see the opening kickoff,we always seem to lose or start off really bad (this goes back several years )
Superstitions are dumb whatever we do will not change the outcome of the game! That being said I better hurry up and go worship in my Jets room for three hours which i do every gameday.
I wear the same jets long sleeve shirt, sanchez jersey, and hat every game day. Also, I wear one particular Jets shirt to work on Monday, which I am wearing now. I also wore it the Friday after the Thanksgiving game. I debated not wearing it today since I usually wear it after a game, but I had to pick one.
I get my Dr.Pepper on the way home, get in my Jets gear, put my son in his Revis jersey and I am good to go. Of course this will be later than his bed time, but the wife will just have to accept I need the Jersey on for kickoff!!
My jersey choice alternates each week so that isn't the thing. The one thing that I wear the same is my watch, when we loose I wear a different watch for the next game.
LOL!!! Despite being intelligent and knowing full well what we do really has no effect whatsoever on the game, we all probably are superstitious in some way or another.
Chrebet Jersey ON, and absolutely no saying its over until there is 00:00 on the clock...too much experience with heartache.
I rock the mock turtleneck, my number 1 jersey, but have not gone back to the facepaint. It disappeared after the AFCCG, and since we were winning I'm too superstitious to go back. Gotta Support the team.
If I'm at home, I drink beer out of my Jets pint glass. That is all. It has no effect on the outcome of the game, but I enjoy it more.
I sit back with a fine Cigar, this week a MACANUDO CAVIAR. Along with four fingers of 25 year old single malt scotch.
