Are u talking about mark schlereth? Not trying to be a dick. Just trying to make sure who you are talking about If so, i like him. I like the fact that he calls out the NFL on their hypocrisy as well One of few TV analyst who has done so
Dilfer went on a rant about how the most complete team in the league tonight on sports center . Dilfer has a got a solid hard on for the jets.
Lolollool. Mark Schlereth is one of the best analysts in football. He knows the game, is very smart/articulate and speaks his mind. Also I love Dilfer. The guy has had our back since last year when everyone else doubted us. I think it's because he knows Rex and played for those type of teams.
For some reason he always seems to pick us, I remember he picked us to win the division in 2007. It's always nice to be picked but in the end it's meaningless.
Dilfer is in love with us and Sanchez, he is the only guy who consistently is behind us. He gets pretty passionate when talking about our team.
There was a very in-depth interview with Dilfer on the Kay show just before the draft earlier this year and Dilfer was talking about Sanchez and what the CS must do for him to progress. It was probably the most in depth interview about Sanchez specifically coming from an analyst that I ever heard. In a nutshell, he was reflecting on his time in BMore and how he was a good manager. Comparing his body of work to Sanchez. Basically says Mark can be so much more than he was as long as the right people on the coaching staff are around him. He brought up that Gannon was approached to speak to Mark, and Dilfer was all for it. He went on to say that Sanchez development rests solely on the organization, HC, Schotty, and what they do to help his progression. Dilfer was very detailed about what he was talking about regarding proper coaching, the right b/u vet QB, etc. He said that Chad P would probably be the best QB coach for Mark cause of Chad's #1NFL rank completion rating and how cerebral Penny is. Mark has the physical tools to be as good as anyone in the league. Granted he doesn't have a Cutler or Favre cannon, but he excels elsewhere. I was combing the ESPNNY site for the podcast but couldn't find it. It really was good - so good that it changed my perspective on Dilfer being just another shitty QB turned analyst into someone that REALLY studied the game. It made me realize that he only wasn't a better QB because he lacked the physical abilities. Very impressive.
