Regarding Smith this coming Monday night... I wonder how much the Jets will use the Seminole offense vs. the Pats... and how effective it will be. I'd like to see Brad roll out a few times... and PASS the g'damn ball. Shoot, he was a QB in college, after all. What do you think?
I think you're right....Schotty better add a few new wrinkles to the seminole...because the option play is becoming a little too predictable.
Predictable , yes. But still effective. I don't have the stats to hand, but the amount of times its run vs its effectiveness but be fairly high I would think. I have a feeling there is a reason that Smith hasn't passed yet, and its for games like this or the POs. And we are all forgetting that LT can pass as well  How about, Sanchez hand off to LT who passes to Brad Smith in flats, who finds Braylon/Santonio deep.:jets:
are you suggesting that Schotty should call in the Triple Linde at some point during this game?
Hey these are very close to my thoughts as well..... Harris isn't going anywhere. I do not think Rex would allow that. While Rex doesn't have the final word on the personnel decisions, he would use veto power on that one. Rex does have a certain amount of veto power.
What type of $ would a shitty WR, great returner, emergency QB, and basically one of a few whom can run a wildcat in the NFL ask for?
he's gotta throw it in this game, my guess is second time we run the Seminole, he'll throw it, pats wont know wat hit them when holmes catches it for a td!!!
will be sad to see him go if that is the case, i still remember watching this kid play in high school in youngstown, he went to a d3 school but his teams always beat ours (d1), even in a year when we beat cleveland st ignatius with anthony gonzalez there AND warren harding with maurice clarett there...(that said ive never watched an athlete dominate a game so easily as clarett did in high school, and i watched pat white play in college and have been to over 50 nfl games)...anyways, ive been watching brad smith play football since i was a freshman in high school and it would be a pity to see him wear anything other then a ny jet unifor
I agree with you. Harris is, no doubt, a keeper. And I would keep Holmes over Edwards 8 days a week and twice on Sunday. Regarding Edwards' value vs. the value of B. Smith's versatility... I think Edwards will have to prove his truth worth (for better or worse) during the rest of the regular season (and, yes, the playoffs), which holds a tough road in store for the Jets. I'm not trying to bash the guy, but two of his TDs (vs. the the Fish and Lions) were, in part, gifts because the guys covering him slipped and fell. (And we can't sweep his pending legal situation under the rug, either, if, IF there's an NFL season next year. BTW, that situation doesn't look good. I can't imagine having to actually spend time with my wife on Sundays. Damn!)
