Pryce is a 35 year old 3-4 DE who is on the decline. His lack of impact should surprise no one, he's simply a rotational player at this point. I was surprised when several posters here thought Pryce would make a noticeable difference on our defense.

Exactly. At least Detroit's divisional rivals like him.

"Rotational player" is the best description. And I hate to say it, but was his signing simply a case of Rex looking out for one of his former players? Statistically, he hasn't contributed boo.

The Ravens were planning on signing him back to the team the next day. So no.

The difference in the play of Pace from last year to this year is probably the biggest thing hurting us defensively this year. That, and the fact that we miss Rhodes height covering tight ends, which someone brought up on here yesterday....and before you guys start on the Sherry Rhodes stuff, just remember that it's a jailbreak in the secondary lately.

If youve watched the Pats all year, they have improved steadily each week. Pace has been AWFUL this year. I am not as confident as you are about the matchup for sure. I hope youre right though obviously

dude, Pryce hasnt done a fucking thing. Anyone on this team responsible for pass rush...Pace, Taylor, and Pryce havent done a god damn thing. Its hard to imagine a worse pass rush at this point

But the Ravens didn't re-sign him... and he still hasn't done anything for the Jets.

I don't think what amounted to a trophy safety on a blown blocking assignment changes anything. Sorry, Trevor.

He's got a bad foot. He won't be that good at rushing the QB probably the rest of the year.

If he hasn't tweaked it lately this 11 days of rest can really help him and he can come out flying against the Pats.

I thought he showed signs of improvement during the Bengals game.

Proclaimed he was 100% before the bengal game, and not surprisingly it was his best of the year. He looks like he is all the way back, finally....looking for him to have a big game.

If he can ramp it up and play like he was right before he hurt his foot that's the missing ingredient that can propel us to the Bowl. Taylor looks done. I thought Taylor would be good for 10 sacks and he looked to be on track after 5 games but not anymore. Maybe he finds something on MNF since he's usually good for a sack when he knows America is watching.
