That has absolutely nothing to do with what he was asking, but thanks for the history lesson. I'm glad that I learned today that one loss doesn't matter.

um, sorry mido, that poster stated something to the effect of brady losing in last year's playoffs to the ravens as a stat that doesn't show up and seldom goes discussed. my response is that most people are giving brady a free pass because of his past post season success. thank you, come again.

He was making a point about it not really being a 25 game streak because the Pats lost a game at home in the playoffs. He made the same point about us. That's about stats in general, not Brady.

But I don't want to interrupt your knob-polishing of the guy, so carry on.

Why are we jets fans in agreement with these patsies that they are superior? Are friggin kidding me!!!!!! Some of you guys sound like the JETS already lost. We are the superior team and anyone with football sense knows this; the pats are no longer the dominant force they were In the past. Sure Brady(fag) is good and a future hall of famer, but this is the Jets time to overtake the top spot. They have a better QB than we do, but that is the case with everyone they meet. We are better everywhere else and Mark will exploite there undermanned secondary. Jets win, hands down. Pats pansies will choke just like when Eli stuck a football up their azz. That was the last chance pansies and ya blew it; during and after the game(in the giant locker room) You think 2 rookie TE's, woodhead and skelator scare our secondary? Hell no.. Revis will be humping branch all night he won't have more than 2 meaningless catches. Hahahahahaha. Friggin pansies. Don't stand a chance.

Fuck that, Sanchez is 2-1 against Tom Brady and undefeated while not a rookie.

He had a 124 QB Rating last time we played the Pats, while Brady threw 2 picks.

The Jets are also 2nd in the league, 1st in the AFC in point differential. Not surprising as our two losses are by a combined total of 10. Pats are 4th, mostly due to scoring a gang of points (1st overall). I just don't see that helping them against the Jets.

I go with the old rule of thumb--the Jets will play up or down to their opponent and they will play up for the Pats. They need to weather any early onslaught of the Pats. No 1st quarter TDs and they need to score a TD in the 1st quarter to calm the crowd down.

The Pats are going to screen the ball to death and use their TE heavily...everyone suspects it and I don't see them deciding to focus on Tate for everything. The Jets have a healthy Revis and Holmes this game. The biggest thing is getting off the field on 3rd down. They can't let the Pats convert 3rd and longs with little dump passes. Sacking Brady is probably out because he just won't hold the ball long enough...they need to keep receivers in front of them, tackle soundly, and stop the run. Force Brady to take shots to the WRs against Revis and Cro.

Our offense will be able to run and better be able to exploit some opening in the passing game Some nice 8 minute TD drives would be useful.

Let's erase the significance of the Patriots wins over Indy and Pittsburgh off the list as Indy got it's ass handed to it by San Diego tonight and Pittsburgh just barely butt-skidded past the Bills this afternoon. The Indy line looks absolutely terrible, and Pittsburgh was soundly beaten by Buffalo in the 2nd half of that game. If that kid holds on to the endzone pass in overtime Pittsburgh is a loser today.

Kinda takes the shine off all that chest thumping the Pats have been doing over beating these two teams doesn't it?

Again I will state that they are overmatched against the New York Jets and will lose by at least 2 touchdowns on monday night.

Wait a minute, didn't you say Tom Brady was your big advantage in this game? Like Peyton Manning was the big advantage over San Diego tonight? Like Big Ben was the ace in the hole over Buffalo today?

I think you're gonna need quite a bit more than Tom Brady on monday night, you're gonna need Jesus and Moses line up as your wideouts too...

P.S.) What video games would Tom like us to bring him in the hospital on tuesday? He may be there a while...

Trying to judge a team based on who they've played in the past is absurd. By this logic, I should be fully confident that the Pats will spank the Jets due to comparing the Jets vs. Lions and Pats vs. Lions game.

    It's a logical fallacy.....

Each week is different. Players show up with a different level of intensity, different gameplans, etc, etc. Each week is different. Power rankings, in my opinion, are ludicrous. Certain teams match up better against others and things change from week to week.

Example - the Ravens beat the Jets, the Pats beat the Ravens, so according to your logic, the Pats should have therefore beaten the Jets. Wrong.

Again, everything changes from week to week. The wins over Pittsburgh and Indy were impressive. Being 9-2 doesn't happen by accident.

We'll see who wins on Monday night, but it won't have anything to do with what happened in the past.

No this is not significant, because the Jets lost to Baltimore by one point because they were missing several key players, while the Pats only beat the Ravens by 3 points at full strength. Therefore we cannot say by how much the Jets would have beaten Baltimore if they had all their cards on the table.

Your wins over Indy and Pittsburgh are still wins, but they're not wins over powerhouse teams anymore, they're wins over average teams, and in Indy's case it's a win over a team with it's offensive line in shambles. I was actually scared for Peyton tonight... did you see the hits he was taking? It was brutal!

So yeah you're 9-2, but when you faced a really good team (the Jets) you lost. And logic would dictate that the result this time around will be no different. But hey 9-3 is a great record man, be proud of it.

    Let's at least be consistent.

By your logic, the Jets shouldn't be considered a good team. You're arguing that because the Steelers barely squeaked by the Bills in O.T., this makes them less impressive.

Didn't the Jets do the exact same thing against the Lions and the Browns - oh, and let's not forget the Texans, except that game was in regular time.

The Jets have had numerous close/lucky victories, and by your logic, they should be considered a poor team because of this.

Just calling it how I see it.
