Pats give up points but put up quite a few as well. 38w 14l 38w 41w 23w 23w 28w 14l 39w 31w 45w If you hold us to 14 you win apparently, any other number you lose.
we need to get plays that attack their secondary early. If this turns out like the Ravens game, im going to break my T.V. Seriously, if we are connecting early, we get this win.
The Jets haven't dominated a game from beginning to end since buffalo. They are also 1-2 against teams with winning records. That one win was in week 2. Since then the pats (3-1 against winning teams) have beaten Indy, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore. Everything you said is true, but you might want to keep things in perspective.
A-No we dominated the Pats............I dont blame your short term memory, its better to just forget it and move on.........GPC!
He didn't deny the loss to the Jets, he acknowledged it, just didnt say "Jets" in his post. Not sure what you're on about.
The Jets are a better football team than the pats are. This fact was proven in week 2 when the Jets stomped the pats. More recently, the Browns clubbed the Pats like baby seals w/a power running game and the Jets came in the next week and beat the Browns. As usual the pats will be overbet, overhyped and overrated going into this game. Assuming no major catastrophes like multiple turnovers etc - the Jets D will once again shut down the pats and the Jets will win the football game. Power running game + Smith, Holmes, Edwards, Keller & Cotchery will defeat the Pats weak defense. The Jets D will attack Brady and stifle any notions that Pats have an elite ground attack.
Who's the Sunday Night Game December 5th ? I'm kinda surprised that the Jets-Pats game wasn't schedule for Sunday night since the ratings are higher for Sunday night than Monday on cable.
What would make this game even more epic is if New England experienced one of those good old Nor'easter's and it was snowing....Jets vs Patriots at Foxboro two teams tied for the division lead looking to take First seed in the AFC and determine home field on Monday Night in the snow...tell me that doesn't sound like the AFC Championship game
Not Important For This Week But Still Huge: The Oakland Raiders good start and the fact that they should finish no worse than middle-of-the-pack means that the #1 pick NE gets for Seymour next April should not be a super-high pick. If there was a rookie salary cap, that pick could have been easily fit into their salary cap and/or traded for multiple picks (high picks have more value if their salaries are reduced). Last thing I wanted was NE having a banner year and ending up with two 1st-round picks, including one in the Top 5.....sorta like 1986 when Boston won the NBA Champsionship and had the overall #2 pick (Len Bias, tragic outcome).
Yeah, maybe they can get that guy from 1982 to come out and snowblow the field like he did back then. I think he was on work-release from prison or something.
I see the Jets losses against the Ravens and Packers as games where we lost but also games where the Jets beat themselves . Against the Ravens it was 12 penalties and a fumble that killed them ... against the Packers it was dropped passes and sloppy ball handling. Even with horrible play they were only outscored by a combined 10 points in those games. The Jets haven't dominated games, but they play well balanced on both sides of the ball. The Pats D is ranked so poorly if the offense is even slightly off they are in trouble. The Jets proved that in week 2 when they dominated them in the second half. The jets have a healthy Revis and Santonio Holmes...the Pats lost Moss, Faulk, and added Branch/Woodhead. Question becomes does the new short passing game work against a jets D that can key on it.
Logan Mankins is back for the Pats and while Connelly played well, Mankins is definitely an upgrade. Also some players have established themselves as starters by this time. Chung and Cunningham for example are definite starters. Plus a player like McCourty has improved significantly since the start of the season. He's become pretty good as a CB. What many are saying here is completely true though. The Patriot offense must absolutely do it's part in any win but I think the Patriot D can play well in stretches as well. Plus I think the Patriots have played some tough physical teams like the Ravens and Steelers and won. I think it's going to be a good game.
That game was incredible, I don't think anybody saw the 2nd half going the way it did esp with Revis pulling the hamstring
Was kind of weird honestly, Cro looked better than Revis all of last year covering Moss in that game. Pats new look, should be a fun test. Gonna be an awesome game, I just wish we didn't have to wait so long for it! Thursday games suck.
http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-total-access/09000d5d81c70d6d/More-complete-team-Jets-or-Pats?module=HP_headlines Apologies if this is already in this thread somewhere, but Woodson likes the Pats, basically because Brady is magical. Keep in mind that this is the same Woodson who said that Owens would get the best of Revis because Owens is great. I don't think the guy actually watches football. Jamie Dukes basically said that yes, Brady is better than Sanchez. The Jets get the edge everywhere else. Basically, this game is between the two best teams in the AFC and probably the league.
It's not a stretch for experts to pick the Pats. They are 9-2 and undefeated at home. Obviously I think the Jets win but I don't fault experts for picking the Pats. It'll piss me off if it's unanimous for the Pats but it was unanimous for the Pats week 2 and yeah...
