He wants to play on the Jets.

Chad Johnson can be funny sometimes, I don't mind him that much....but I wouldn't want him on this team.

    Haha

Not gonna start a thread about it, but I'd swap them in a heartbeat. Edwards is a fuckin head-case.

No way would I ever replace Edwards with Ocho Cinco!!!Thats just crazy, granted they are both great athletes but I think Edwards just fits this team better.

    You're joking right?

Braylon a very talented 27 YEAR OLD receiver for a turning 33 in a month declining receiver. There is no bigger head case than Ocho.

Please tell me this was a joke. Braylon has better stats this year and Cincy passes much more than we do.

    Edwards for Ochocinco? No way.

I know Ochocinco doesn't get in trouble off the field, but he is still a cancer in the locker room and a distraction.

Edwards is 6 years younger, way more talented, and gives it all on the field even with a struggling rookie QB.

Just an Fyi, OchoCinco is a fan of the Mexican national team (El Tri), there are pictures of him online somewhere sporting a jersey. Not surprised he's a Sanchez fan.

    Ochos got nothing on Braylon.

Maybe when hes at the pinnacle of his career in a few years and teams are avoiding him like he was TO, then we could consider picking him up as a #3

I remember Rex saying he'd love to have Chad on this team. We can't keep everybody and I think Braylon's the guy that goes. (We sign Holmes, Harris and Cro). The Bengals probably blow up their team when a new coach comes in and I wouldn't be surprised if Chad gets cut or traded (say, for a 4th). I mean, if we lose Braylon, it makes sense, right?

I never understood your fascination with this guy. Always felt like he was overrated.

Ok maybe a little bit of a knee-jerk reaction to take Ocho over Braylon. Production-wise it's not even close. I get it.

But let's face it, we've been having a debate on this board since June about who's gonna go and who's gonna stay between Edwards/Holmes. Is it really even close right now?

So assuming we can't keep both, Cinci's got to pick up a $6 million option on Ocho this season, and there was no talk at all of an extension BEFORE the Bungles blew up this year (Lewis may not even survive).

So what would Chad really cost us on the open market? 3 years $7 million (front loaded)? Maybe?

Hey if Tanny and the cap magicians can figure it out and still sign Harris, Holmes, and Cro then by all means keep what we have, but if not somebody's gonna get left out in the cold, then Braylon's probably the one.

So ask yourself, if Braylon's out of the equation, and you could have Ocho on the cheap with the Rex discount, would you take it?
