Greene has to hold on to the ball or his playing time has to get cut. At this point he's not really an asset but instead, a huge question mark in our backfield. That ain't good considering that JmK hasn't produced and we're really thin on RB options. Either Greene has to produce, or be given the JmK treatment and sit him down until he learns how to hold on to the rock consistently.
wasn't this greene's first fumble since the ravens game? LT has fumbled 3 times this season(don't think he lost any, maybe 1 of them, which is why we forget). I think we have to blame the stagnant running game to not opening up holes on the line. LT is running like shit too. I think Greene is running better then him to be honest. LT's value over Greene is as a pass catcher.
This fumble shouldnt even be held against Greene. Less than a second after the ball hits his arms he is getting blasted by two guys in the backfield. Should he have held onto the ball? Hell yeah. Should the offensive line have blocked somebody? Damn right. In my opinion that fumble was more on the OL than Greene. Greene still takes lots of blame, but the OL needs to at least touch their man as they head for the backfield.
