Our run game has been non existant for the last few games and the first half. At first it looked like teams were stacking the box more and forcing Mark to make plays but today it hasnt looked like that at all. Other then the one run by Greene they get 2 or 3 a rush.

    It's all Schotty's fault.

I'm pretty sure he is to blame for all the problems in the world.

No, we need Jones and Faneca! IF we had Jones we'd have another 2 TDs because he scored 2 TDs today which means we'd have like 1,000 points.

Our run game isnt doing much. LT and Greene are inconsistent when rushing but LT looks great for those short screen passes. As long as we are winning and our O is puttin up yards and points its hard to complain but I didnt think our rushing attack would ever be this bad. We have 0 big gain rushes lately.

Do any of you actually watch the games? Our run game isnt bad, we threw it all day long plus they are stacking the box because teams still dont think the jets can throw the ball on em. Its not Shotty or anything the such. teams are game planning to stop our run game.

Defenses are piling up 8 to 9 guys in the box. They know that the run game is the Jets bread & butter. So you got to go on the outside instead of down the middle or more play action passes.

Not blaming Schotty I think he is doing a great job actually. The problem is our O line collapsing so easy.

Otehr teams are crowding the line it seems. There is a reason why both Edwards and Holmes are getting more chances than Keller lately. Defenses are trying to take away the run and TE and make Sanchez win by throwing to the receivers. All they have managed so far is to have the kid grow up befoer our Eyes adn start winning games with his arm.

Slauson is definitely not as good of a run blocker as Faneca was last year. Mangold hurt his shoulder and it has lingered. Teams are stacking the box more. And we haven't had the 2 or 3 enormous games like last year which kind of inflated the stats for us.

Yeah I think those are 2 very good reason.

Slauson has proven to be solid and is a good straight line blocker, but he has to get better at all those other techniques involved in run blocking... overall he's exceeded expectations and it's only his first year as a starter so he'll have time to learn the nuances of the position.
Even if as a run blocker Faneca is still way better than him overall I think Slauson is the better guard atm... Faneca gets his QB killed in the pass game!

I think the Jets are downplaying Mangold's injury by never talking about it... it's the right thing to do strategically but you can see he doesn't have the same power he had last year.
Hopefully the shoulder is slowly healing and getting stronger.

Hopefully but I have a feeling this is going to be the Mangold we see all year. Still a great Center just a little lame. Regardless, they stacked the box on us just as bad if not worse last year and our run game was much better.

I heard Schotty's flatulence has caused a hole in something called the ozone layer....

Slauson sucked today. He was playing hurt and it is showing.

I think the entire line looked like hot garbage today. Injuries are taking their toll.

Brick and Moore are the only healthy guys at the moment. Hopefully that resolves or at least improves soon.

I wonder how ready Ducasse is.

Err Slauson is playing hurt. Err prior to his injury he was playing at a Fanec-like level. And he pass blocked better as well. Just sayin.....

If Ducasse ever learned how to play, he'd definitely be a difference maker as a run blocker.
