You would think that boneheaded roughing the kicker would have destroyed us...and it arguably did giving the Lions 3 points. However.... - Awful field position all game since the injury. Harris was terrible on the kickoff after, Hansen's kick to start OT gave us the ball past the 30 yard line. - Suh's XP missed....that 1 point proved the absolute difference. Pryce went from team Goat to having one of the biggest plays of the year for the Jets. He will be fined but that late hit as stupid as it was....turned out to be the big time difference.
In a really fucked up way...you're right. Why don't we send Pryce to cheap shot the opposing QB? I'll give up 15 yards a game if we never have to play another starting quarterback the rest of the year.
haha I was thinking about this. Will anyone mind now that his terrible play gave them 3 points, or the fact that they knocked out their kicker saved us 1 point to allow us to tie the game? interesting how the whole thing played out. on the other hand, how the hell do we get so penalties called against us. i mean a few b.s. calls but there were legit penalties too, gotta cut down on that shit.
except without that penalty they would have settled for a fg instead of a touchdown. so our td with 4 mins left would put us up one.
how many games do the jets have multiple personal foul penalties? We had 3 today, that's unacceptable.
After the Ellis pf, I was wondering defenders must be all screwed up when trying to stop a qb. If you rush him & he dives right before you get there, it's a penalty. If he's running down the sidelines but not going out of bounds & you hit him then it's a penalty. wtf ... at least the qb when past the line of scrimmage before diving & in bounds should take a hit.
Perhaps we could get Pryce to be our hitman. Since teams are given carte blanche these days to play dirty against us, perhaps we need a enforcer of our own.
Please tell me you're not studying sports journalism. If there is a just and loving God in the universe, there is no way that you are studying sports journalism and missing this point:
It was a dumb play by Pryce, but it looked to me like Pryce tripped and fell into Hansen. It was inadvertent.
This is pretty much my thought on it. Problem is that intentional or not, it's still going to be called.
