Maybe if the Lions invest in a lot of duct tape, they may get a full season out of Stafford one day. But for now....I'll take Sanchez any day of the week over that piece of glass in Detroit. The pendulum swings in the Jets favor...in the battle of the 2009 top 2 QB draftees. Sanchez=clutch!
Josh Freeman looks really good in Tampa Bay. I remember hearing how the Jets were interested in him before that draft. The "Best QB of 2009 Draft" may be between Sanchez and Freeman. And I don't blame Stafford, his O-Line has been pretty bad. If it was decent him + Megatron would be downright scary (except against the Jets of course : )
Stafford seems to remind me of Chad Pennington (injury wise) right now. Incredible athletic ability, but just can't stay on the field for an entire season.
As a QB, Stafford is better. As a player, Sanchez is better cuz he can play while Stafford is a walking poster that can be shredded on any play.
i'm not sure Stafford is better.....he's got more starting experience than Sanchez had in college....but Sanchez has done more at the Pro level.
Bradford > Stafford But Stafford is very good but man he could lose his arm at the end of all of this
Stafford might have more potential than Nacho....but right now...he isn't better...not even close. The guy is a walking band-aid.
Thing is, if Detroit took Sanchez #1, he would have some broken bones too. Stafford would be untouched with our O-line, who knows what would have happened if they had switched places.
If Stafford can stay healthy, this Lions team is very dangerous. They've got a potential game-breaking RB & an incredibly good WR. Their offense is really powerful. Considering how bad their LB are, they should upgrade the LB pretty easily. However, Stafford needs to stay healthy for them.
The lions should start looking for the next QB for their team in the next year draft. Current QB is just too weak physically.
He hurt his shoulder Week 1, and slammed down on it that play. It would be bad if you had a hurt shoulder. I don't remember the hits that hurt him last year or Week 1 this year. Those plays would show if he is soft or not.
Hes not as fragile as you all may think now, its not like he got injured in a different place. Its pretty obvious now that his right shoulder wasnt fully healed yet.
Agreed. He didn't really take any hits that were terrible. Then again, he doesn't do a good job of avoiding those hits. That is one of the reasons I love Sanchez, his pocket mobility is amazing.
