At yards per game we are 15th and 12th at points per game. You were looking at total yardage which isn't used when ranking because some teams have yet to have a bye. It's always the averages though, once all teams are equal in games played then it will be the same. So your assessment as to where we should be is correct, and if not for the 0 posted this past week we'd be top 5 in scoring.
I think it is also worth noting that the Jets have had the second-hardest schedule so far (the Bills have had the hardest schedule). No need for panic.
Sometimes teams need a wakeup game to get on a long winning streak. We've already seen that once this season.
the problem is that fans are so insecure that they take those clunkers as indicative of the team's ability and ignore the other games where they were successful. that's the nice way of saying fans are fucking imbeciles.
