Something that is very significant is coming up in 2 weeks if we can achieve it--most consecutive wins in franchise history. It would be great to get that because it is a very important stat to abolish the SOJ demons. Too many times have the Jets gotten on a roll, only to be let down in a game they should have won.Its time to take what is ours and to continue to lead the league in fucking wins!:steelers:
So we would roll into Foxboro at 11-1 on a 10 game win streak, and need the win to break the franchise record. Not impossible but that's a hell of a feat. I am hoping the Colts ass rape Tom Brady cause I have a feeling we are not going to beat the Pats @ home and the Steelers. I pray I am dead wrong but 13-3 would be sweet. Only problem is if we are tied with Pats on 13-3 record we may end up as a wild card cause of tie breakers unless Pats drop one to a division foe. I don't think MIA is up to beating the Pats in their house. Patsy's probably don't lose more than 3 games this year (Colts & Pitt). Brady's been on the money and their defense will only get better as time goes on.
Mentioned this in the '86 post. We would be 10-1 if we win out heading to Foxboro... In '86 we faced Miami at 10-1 on Monday night when our streak was snapped at 9.
If we beat the Packers, we can easily reach 8-1 by defeating Lions and Browns. Texans and Bengals games shouldn't be too tough either. If we don't turn over the ball, we can go into Foxboro 10-1. We've defeated NE once before and theres no reason to believe we can't do it again. We'd be 11-1 headed to Shitsburgh. I can see us 11-2 and then beating the Dolphins, Bears and Bills to end the season 14-2 with the #1 seed in the AFC. Am I being too optimistic with my Green glasses or others tend to believe with me?
You're getting ready to throw some dice. And that better not be the money out your girlfriend's goddam purse!!
If we lose to Pitt won't they be 15-1 or 14-2 and own the tie breaker? Or are you assuming they are going to beat us and lose a few more to other teams?
:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: Not to be a dick, but I was thinking the exact same thing when I read it.
I would always assume a team will lose a game or two out of the next 10, regardless of how good they are.
Wow, for some reason I thought our streak record was only 5. I thought I heard it last week before the Denver game, so my apologies. I'm in my early 20's and followed the team since 98 so I sorta get a pass on that lol. This can be relevant again if we can take continue to win in Foxboro, hopefully it does continue. I also would love to see us surpass our record 12 wins in a season.
Pats will be 11-5 at best - just because they beat the Ravens one Sunday let's not make them better than really are - they will get exposed for what they are.
The AFC is way too good for a bunch of teams to only have 2 or 3 losses going into the playoffs. I think the #1 seed in the AFC will be no better than 13-3 and likely 12-4. Between the Jets, ravens, colts, steelers, and patriots there will be losses across the board. You can throw teams like the texans, dolphins, bengals, titans, and chargers in too. I predicted an 11-5 season and I'll stick to that for now.
I don't think the Pats will finish 13-3, they are a shaky road team. The Chargers offense should be a good metric for how much the Patriots secondary has improved.
