The schedule makers were cruel and unusual to us this season. First, we are on late most of the season. We have to travel to Denver on a short week this past week when Denver is never easy. We have a short week again on Thanksgiving week. The good points are that after Denver, we are off and play a home game after the layoff. Then we get the Lions and Browns essentially giving us two more weeks off. Thanks!!! As for this week, enjoy Jets. We the fans will fight our way through the naysayer/hater comments that will be prevalent this next 2 weeks.
The Jets would be on the verge of being beaten convincingly if they were on the road next week in primetime against a team that was .500 or better. That's where the momentum is taking them. Teams are beginning to figure out what beats the Jets. The bye allows this team to strengthen their weak links. Top players can heal. The secondary can get on the same page. This bye week came at the perfect time. The Packers, although hurt and bitten, are not to be taken lightly. Ever. After the Packers the schedule gets easier, and the Jets need to be renewed for the long stretch.
This is great timing for the break. Revis is playing but still not @ his best. Break will give him & Pace some additional time to recover. Plus, an extra week of prep to establish Sachez & Holmes in practice. Hopefully, with the extra week, the coaching staff can come up with some type of improvement to the Jets D struggles on 3rd & long. Jets D needs some tweaking overall. === Plus, with 2 weeks to prep for the Packers & then Lions & Browns ... we've got a really good chance @ 8-1. By then, hopefully some of the other top AFC teams can beat each other up & spread the losses.
The only thing I'm worried about is Schotty getting cute again. He seems to do that a lot when he has more time to prepare for a game. As long as that doesn't happen, I completely agree with everything you said.
The Vikes and Broncos games I didn't like plenty of calls. Sanchez's presser from yesterday even wanted Schotty to call a run instead of a pass in the red zone. Throwing 44 times in the rain on monday night was fucking stupid, especially with the lead. Only Schotty can make you do that. Luckily we haven't seen the painful retardation he's capable of.
Did you watch that game yesterday ? We had Zero momentum. This was a team we should have been able to dominate. I think the bye helps us tweak the defense a little bit, integrate Holmes more, and gives us two weeks to prepare for a GB team that got punished by Miami (coming off the bye), now faces the Vikings D in a divisional tilt, then for the second time in 3 weeks faces a team coming off the bye. (Sucks to be GB). We should have momentum after that home game.
See above. GB will be on their last legs when they come here. Not to be taken lightly, but we should be facing a pretty beat up team.
Good time for the bye week. Jets return playing a 'normal' 1:00 game against the Pack who will be coming off a tough divisional game against the Vikes. Should the Jets win they're 6-1 (and getting ahead of myself), then @ Lions (7-1), @ Browns (8-1), home vs. Houston (9-1), home vs. Cincy. This team could easily be 10-1 going into New England. Good to rest up, regroup and fatten up the record during this stretch. This Sunday has Pittsburgh (-3) @ Miami. I hope they both lose.
plus that packers game is a late Sunday game. Anything helps. Plus the old pervert factor, that's an emotional, pretty much must win game for them. Despite the injuries, as long as Rodgers plays, they are a dangerous team. That's a big reason this bye is coming at a good time. **cough, cough**Revis.
I wouldn't take the Lions too lightly, they have some playmakers & maybe their QB will be back when we play them. Cleveland, on the other hand we should crush.
The last time this team was 10-1 we ended the season 10-6. I will NEVER get too far ahead myself with this team.
Oh my....maybe we should throw the GB game? Hopefully Darelle heals nicely gets back to playing like last year then the rest of our D can start dominating again, THAT would be AWESOME!!!
