How does this BYE week affect us? Does it help us more (recover from injuries, give the offense/defense/ST a needed breather), or does it pause/hault our momentum coming off a win like this one against Denver?
Rex and Co. can disect the problems areas from the Miami and Denver game. Revis, Pace, and Mangold are all nicked up. BYE week is GREAT for this week.
It's a good time to take a break. This team needs a week off. Get Revis completely healthy. Everyone can go look at what they're doing wrong. We're 5-1 and there's tons of room for improvement. And that includes the coaching staff. It's good to get some perspective...whether you're winning or losing.
it gives the veterans a chance to rest gives revis pace and mangold time to rest there injuries lets santonio holmes get up to speed fully lets sanchez study his mistakes
We're 5-1 with some tough games played. The players, and us, will enjoy the breather. Just for guys like Pace and Revis, the week off is huge. There are other dinged up guys that could use a week. 5-1 into the bye? Beautiful.
the Jets still need to work out some kinks in their play execution.....they need this bye week to sharpen up for the stretch run. Plus, Pace and Revis can use this time to heal up.
Lest I forget.....we haven't even played a complete game yet. The best is yet to come, that's the frightening part for the rest of the league.
Perfect timing for the jets to get a bye because the last two games we were playing on the edge! Time to dominate after the bye week!
Sanchez needs this time to reflect on his play this game...Look at the reasons why those INT's occured and why there were so many tipped balls and close turnovers. The other guys have to recover and the coaching staff needs to talk about clock management and when to use the blitz
Also, it affects us in that our team name does not appear on the schedule, nor will we have a scheduled television appearance with another team on Sunday, nor Monday evening.
If we were rolling over teams going into the bye I'd be concerned, but we are finding ways to overcome some problem areas and the extra week will help us address them.
Perfect time for the bye week. We've been going 100 miles an hour since August, with a training camp on television, a preseason full of doubters, a miserable opener, a division sweep, three prime-time games, and a short week, cross-country road heart stopper. Take a breath, get healthy, get Holmes on the same page as Mark, and get ready for the 2010 Jets 2.0.
