    this might be a dumb question, but if someone somehow caught a receiver in the air, COULD he technically carry him out of bounds and it be called incomplete?

    I hope to hell that the nose of the ball didn't touch the ground... I don't know what the ruling is when the defender holds the reciever up like that.

    I don't think so. I want to say forward progress would be called, but I'm not sure.

    I was thinking the same thing.. but i think that as soon as the defender moves him back.. his forward progress is ended and it dead.. thats why the clock kept running
