I hate the pats but with big jenks out wilfork would be a pretty amazing addition to the D. IMHO On offense...not much you can add that would make that much of a difference. Sure Manning would be fun but colts offense isn't the Jets offense. Not that he couldn't run it but i think you don't get as much bang for your buck if you add manning to a ground and pound team.
The first name to come to mind is D. Ware. If we had a nasty pass rush we would not have to blitz all the time on 3rd down and our secondary would not be getting torched the way it is.
Merrill Hoge was doing tape on SC about the kid's ball skills before the draft last year. He showed a couple plays that Thomas made that turned into a pick and a PD, and the dude can play. Granted, he was reading college QBs, but on one play it looked like he read the QB's mind.
Peyton Manning is the answer. As good as Sanchez has played, if Manning is the quarterback, we beat Baltimore and are the clear NFL frontrunners this season. Plus, we wouldn't have to play him. Polamalu for defense. We do a great job forcing punts. Polamalu would help force turnovers. And I'd love to see him with Rex.
I would choose Manning if we ran the same offensive scheme that he plays with in Indy, I don't forsee him having the same success in this scheme the Jets use. Defensively we have an excellent scheme which will allow any good 3-4 scheme OLB to fit right in, I doubt it works the same with the offense.
silly thread to begin with, so might as well make it sillier Well, then who can the Colts add to replace Manning? Can they get Brady or Brees? Jets with Manning or Colts with Brady or Brees? Who wins out there?
That leaves Wilson and Coleman to start at Corner. I don't like it- I know what you mean, but I think we need to give Pool a chance before we start replacing him. I know this is a fantasy but I want to feel love for Pool.
