This is a great point. Noticed real vibe throughout the city this year; okay the Yanks are looking good and the Giants are still in the hunt but I found a lot of people shouting over- "Jets baby" and "go Jets" when I was wearing a Jets T which was always. We feel good about ourselves which is nice. Even at the airport the baggage guys saw me in my Green and shouted "oh Ye , go jets man". I love it.
Bandwagon fans are gay. I hate the Pats bandwagon fans. I hated the Cowboys bandwagon fans. I hated the 49rs bandwagon fans. If you're a bandwagon Jets fan I hate you too. Go eat a cock sandwich.
Agreed. There's nothing more I hate than rocking my Jets gear through up and down seasons, often putting up with rival fans' s***-talking, just so when my team is finally looking like a contender, all the phonies can come out of the woodwork and pretend they've been here the whole time.
You said it. Every day I'm seeing more and more people wearing Jets hats, shirts, jackets etc. and I used to NEVER see anybody wearing anything Jets related for the past few years. Major culture shock.

I work retail in a parts store and whenever I help a guy with some kind of Jets gear, I say at least some kinda comment. More often than not they dont even know they are wearing Jets gear and have no idea what im talking about. Related story, I work with a Bills fan so we battle all the time. I make fun of him that hes the only Bills fan and whenever someone else comes in with Bills gear I say "look theres the other bills fan!" mocking him. One day this old man comes in with a Bills hat and the guy goes up to him right away before we can bust his balls. He starts up with the guy about the Bills real loud like they are gonna have this great fan to fan convo about the Bills. The old man at first looks at the guy like hes a lunatic then realizes. "The Bills? Oh the hat was free the Bills suck why would I waste money on something like that." I guess they are just clothes to some people.
But you know, everyone has to start out as a fan sometime. Winners collect fans. Look at teams like the Yankees and the Raiders. And, yeah, some of those people will be front runners. But others will stick around and become real fans.
