Way back in the 80s I played against Victor Ebubedike who was later signed by the Jets in 1990. He didn't last long and was cut shortly afterwards.
I have trawled the net with no luck and was wondering if maybe some of the Jets anoraks here had a pic or two on their Hard drive??

    In Jets uniform

    Ha! Very nice.

Gus, did you see the Sky Sports documentary on the NFL in the UK? It was very impressive and had quite a lot of Victor on it. He was a bit of a headcase wasn't he. Must have been intimidating to play against...

I don't think he ever played in a game for us, I think he was released before preseason games began so if there are any photos it would be in a practise uniform.

I did, brought back alot of memories for me seeing him again.
Anything but a headcase, very focused dedicated quiet man. But yes his presense was intimidating.
The closest thing to getting hit by Jerome Bettis in my playing career.

Can't remember the shows name, but they took a load of top sportsmen (UK) from all different fields and made them all compete, to find out who was the best all around sportsman, Vic came first, unsurprisingly.
In my eyes he was the first proper pro British NFL player. No one has come close since, which is a shame.

Victor had a column for First Down I think - there may be some back issues out there with a pic of him in his Jets uni. I remember seeing him on C4 shortly after he was cut, talking to Mick Luckhurst. He seemed pretty disappointed to have been let go.

Interesting that on the Sky programme he said he believed it was only Coslet who wanted him gone. Of course, if the head coach wants you gone, that's not good...

Basically impossible my friend. Looked at dozens of archives and sites and no one has anything. Its hard because I believe he was only on the team during training camp in 1990

I would probably contact the Jets media services if I were you. They probably have a pic of him somewhere in the building. Just make sure you say you're not gonna reproduce it, sell it, or whatever other BS they don't like people doing.

    Yeah, been there :)
I do remember seeing him in the game uni's similar to Tommy's attempt
I think he may have had the #29 jersey.

Not a bad idea, might just do that, thanks

    edit: done, contacted Randy Lange
