So this is currently what my team looks like. It's a 12 team league, .5 per reception, standard scoring for everything else. QB - Phillip Rivers WR - Andre Johnson WR - Donald Driver RB - Shonn Greene RB - Jonathan Stewart W/R/T - Dez Bryant TE - Zach Miller K - Nick Folk DEF - CIN BN - CJ Spiller BN - Percy Harvin BN - Dexter McCluster BN - Mike Williams (SEA) BN - Kyle Orton BN - Marion Barber The one problem I've had is none of my RBs are producing. Obviously I have high hopes for Greene, but I don't want to end up hanging on too long for no results, especially with how good LT has looked as of late. Spiller hasn't show much in the regular season, and I'm weary of starting him even in the flex role until he gets more touches regularly. Someone else in our league's two QBs are Favre and Roethlisberger, but they just dropped Favre and have expressed interest in Orton. However the only RB on their roster I'm even remotely interested in is Frank Gore. Another player in our league has said they would deal LT for a WR. This would lead to likely dropping Greene which I'm not to keen on. So my question is, if you had my roster would you.. A) Stand pat. B) Try and package something for Frank Gore C) Trade a WR for LT
Not only do your RBs lok rough but most of your bench looks weak too. Find the team with the worst QB in your league and see what you can get for Rivers. Orton will do just fine except for your bye week. You can get somone off the waiver wire to fill that hole. Also, watch the waiver wire for RBs, especially when injuries occur.
Yeah, when we drafted I got stuck in a bad spot, everyone I wanted rd. 1 was gone so I opted for A. Johnson. I considered dealing Rivers, but the only reason I'm hesitant about that is because my QB play last year absolutely killed me. Thanks for the input, and you may be right, waiver wire for rbs may be my best bet.
Well, someone offered me a trade instead. Proposed trade is... I GIVE: QB-Kyle Orton, RB-CJ Spiller I GET: RB-Jamaal Charles, WR-Pierre Garcon I'm interested in Charles, but I don't know how I feel about Garcon. I feel like WR isn't a big need for me, and I'm not totally sold on Garcon in that offense, especially with Collie progressing more each week. Thoughts? EDIT: Ended up trading Orton and Spiller in return for Jamaal Charles and Jermichael Finley. Pretty satisfied.
Thanks guys. I figured Finley would be pretty much off limits to ask for, but I guess since he's a Bengals fan and had Gresham on his bench he agreed. Pretty happy about the fact that I upgraded two positions by a pretty good margin for bench players.
So my roster has changed a bit. I've improved my bench thanks to some other players getting dropped and whatnot... QB - Philip Rivers WR - Andre Johnson WR - Donald Driver RB - Jamaal Charles RB - Shonn Greene TE - Jermichael Finley FLEX - Dez Bryant K - Nick Folk DEF - CIN BN - Mike Wallace BN - Jonathan Stewart BN - Percy Harvin BN - Ryan Torain BN - John Kuhn BN - Legedu Naanee Someone else in our league has just offered me Knowshon Moreno for Dez Bryant. Moreno should be back from injury soon, and it would help me solidify my RB position a bit more. I like having Torain right now with the possibility of Portis sitting out and he's looked pretty good. At the same time, I like Bryant's potential moving forward, but I feel pretty comfortable with the WR's I have right now, especially Mike Wallace with Ben being back now. What would ya do? I'm leaning towards pulling the trigger on it. tl;dr I give: Dez Bryant WR I get: Knowshon Moreno RB
Need help as well: 12 team, .5 ppr QB - Joe Flacco WR - Brandon Marshall WR - Greg Jennings RB - Adrian Peterson RB - Brandon Jackson W/R - Hines Ward TE - Jeremy Shockey K - Neil Rackers DEF - NO BN - Alex Smith BN - CJ Spiller BN - Tim Hightower BN - Marshawn Lynch BN - Dez Bryant BN - Santonio Holmes I definitely need to upgrade RB/TE. Health Miller is on waivers so I can pick him up. Options: 1.) Hines Ward for Moreno (not sure if it will go through) 2.) Dez for Green Ellis or Torain (not sure who is better) 3.) Hines Ward/Alex Smith for Bradford/Keller
