You know, if we win the Super Bowl... Gholston gets a ring.

I am not going to listen to a bunch of retards who see "Gholston: 0 Sacks" in the box score and announce he had a terrible game.

It is not a 3-4 DE's job to generate sacks.

I'm not saying he had a great game or an awful one, but don't try and tell us how he did when you have no idea what you're talking about.

Gholston would drop his Super Bowl ring into a sink within a week.

hahaha, now we have no clue what we're talking about bc we say gholston is an undwhelming player. dude, we watched the game and this is our opinion. the best positive we can come up with this guy is that he collapses the pocket and gets close to the qb. do you know how many des do that in this league???

And he will have earned it by playing on the New York Jets.

    I didn't specify anyone individually.

I never said he wasn't an underwhelming play either.

It's just obvious that a lot of people are making senseless assumptions on how he performed.

I thought you were calling me out, sorry. I certainly don't just look at stats, they definitely don't mean much. That being said, he's just not making much of an impact. He's made like 2 impact plays all season.

I guess one question is do we stop holding him to the heightened standard of a 6th overall pick, in which case, he has become an adequate servicable body to rotate into the game (maybe, maybe not) or do we continue to hold him to the standard of where he was drafted (in which case, stats or not, he's still a bust).

I remain a Gholston hater until I see otherwise, but I do acknowledge he's gone from worst ever to absolutely pathetic.

i disagree. i think he is an average back up. average dlinemen squeeze out a sack, or make a tackle for loss every once, and awhile.

According to Profootball focus Gholston had 55 plays in the first 3 games. In comparison David Harris had 220 plays. They have him rated +2.3 run defense but -1.4 pass rush. They hate Harris though with a -3.4 overall. Highest rated player? Shaun Ellis +10.2 overall.
