Clearly Sanchez has looked like what we all lamented not having just a few short years ago. Pennington with an Arm. I tend to get a more than a little Homer..But the QB play has been the best we've seen in a long time......
Next week will be tough, especially on run plays. I think he's improving, I don't think he'll be horrible, but I wonder what effect he'll have on our running game.
He can't pull like Faneca. Then again, there are few guards in the league that can/could anyway. Pass pro appears to be on par with Faneca, maybe even a bit better.
great game by Slauss and the rest of the OL yesterday. nice season so far too, 3-1, first place, 3-0 in the division Alan Who? Thomas Who? Leon Who?
Hall of Famer Steve Owen coached the Giants for 23 seasons (1931-53). He was also co-coach of the Giants for two games in 1930 after LeRoy Andrews was given the heave-ho. Other top tenures for Giants and Jets head coaches- 11 years- Weeb Ewbank, Jets 8 years- Allie Sherman, Giants 8 years- Bill Parcells, Giants 7 years- Joe Walton, Jets 7 years- Jim Lee Howell, Giants 7 years- Jim Fassel, Giants
Leon is still missed on KR. Until a Jet breaks one...I'd like to see K-Dub get some shots as well as J-co ..Smith has been good, but mix it up
They let the man block in the interior most of the game, which I loved. That's his strength right now. I didn't see him pull much, and the interior run game benefited as a result.
I saw a couple of pulls and he threw some key blocks on those trap plays that sprang LT. Three fifth of our line is pretty much set for the next 3-5 years. If Ducasse pans out, that will it four fifth.
Sanchez called him underrated today. If he keeps this up, I think Slawesome should stick. someone posted it somewhere.
