It would be tough but if this is how Edwards is going to play then Cotchery would have to be the guy to go. I dont think its going to be an issue though seeing as Jericho is signed through 2012.

And even though Cotchery is not at those guys levels dont underestimate his importance to this offense. He is as sure handed as they come.

We don't, but I can't wait to see Holmes, Edwards, Cotch, Keller and LT on the field all at the same time. Sanchez is going to have plenty of options. I can see this offense really being electric.

Logic says Cotchery would go. It would be easier to make the decision if we were to secure the Lombardi in February.

I honestly think the jets will play the "numbers" game with these guys. Once Holmes comes back, all three guys will have stellar performances, but overall their stats are not going to be super impressive (especially if Keller keeps playing this well). So I don't think anyone will get a huge deal, then throw in the fact of edwards DUI, and Holmes, if he gets in any substance abuse trouble, will be suspended an entire year. I hope they both keep there noses clean, but it is a negotiating tool against them.

I think their deals will be cheaper than expected. Not necessarily cheap enough to keep them both around, and I wouldnt be shocked if Cro's deal is bigger than both WR's is.

Something that unfortunately may make this a little easier to take care of is is Kris Jenkins. According to NYJetscap.com the Jets save 4.6 million on the cap if they cut him. Even if Jenkins wants to play again there's no way he's playing on this current deal.

Good point. One scenario I can see all 3 returning if Ducasse is ready to step in at RT next season and they can shed Woody's salary as well. Don't know if that would cost Cromartie though.

Yeah they are definitely overblown, the total numbers of drops isn't massive (although they are still too high and consistent). But it's the timing and the plays they are on which makes them hurt more. Wouldn't be a big deal if he had a knack for dropping the dinky little slant routes, but he drops far too many down field balls that he should be catching 99% of the time. I agree with you though, they tend to be portrayed as a bigger deal than they really are.

Cotchery is becoming the Troy Brown of this team... I'd have to go with him and Holmes... Braylon manages some great plays now and again, but Cotch is hands are a sure thing almost every time the pass comes his way.

I'd say Holmes and cotch. Trust me, as a browns fan too I know all too well how Edwards drops can hurt you. Plus he isn't afraid of throwing people under the bus

I think Cotch is here until his contract expires I dont see how hes gone, I mean before the season I would have said Edwards was gone but I mean he looks so sharp right now. It depends how Holmes looks. Then again this WR situation is a GREAT one to have

if B-Easyyyy was smart he would take less to be a Jet and enjoy being on a great team for many years. But he'll probably go to some awful team like the Raiders who will love his talent and he'll suck.

Damn we have tons of decision to make with Cro, Harris, Holmes, Edwards...Lots of talented guys we would love to keep but we can't retain them all.

We just have to enjoy this year and hope it ends the way we want it to.

Whats the deal with Jenkins cap hit if he decides to retire this year. Will him deciding to retire free up a lot of space?

    I would think so.

The Jets will save 3.24 million if they cut Woody next year so that's def. another consideration.

We have no idea what kind of chemistry Sanchez will have with Holmes. It's going to take a few games before anyone can answer this question honestly.

the good thing is that holmes roomed with sanchez for TC so he was able to atleast mesh with him on some level through that time.
