ZOMG!!!111 I wish we still had Chad Pennington....HUH? Oh sorry, I've been in a coma since right after the Jets-Ravens game...what did I miss? Unbelievable turn around by Sanchez. I was really skeptical about that Pats game, thought there were too many problems to fix in too short of a time period. Sure he got lucky on a couple of bad throws in the Fins game, but overall he looked good. What makes me most excited is the way he checked down/pulled the ball down instead of just releasing it.
Only because I see the Jets passing alot with Holmes, Braylon, Keller, and Cotch....I think Sanchez will have around 20-25TDs and around 12-15 INTs. Clearly he is improved, and his WR corps is improved as well. Keller is coming into his own and they have a great chemistry. Barring something drastic, he should have a relatively successful season.
It was intersting in the after game interview Sanchez stated that he was seeing the whole field more clearly. Also noticed he checked throws to his primary target, recocked and fired a strike downfield vice immediatly looking for the check down reciever.
I love the way things are progressing with "The Dirty," but let's remember guys like Scott Mitchell...It takes more than 2 games to make a star QB.
I'll just be thrilled if Sanchez has more TD's than INT's this year. My guess is that he'll have 22 TD's/16 INT's or so. Best case would be like 26 TD's/12 INT's but that's a little unrealistic.
No, but Cimini has become the master of informing us of news about 2 hours after everyone else has covered it. Basically he's reporting on the reporters.
you really think from here on out he only has a 1-1 ratio over the rest of the season? I could easily see him under or at 10 picks this year. he has 13 games left. if the jets can stay ahead, that'll bode even better for this numbers. I *highly* doubt he throws more than 12. TD's show be healthy around the 20 range. 22/12 sounds about right. he has 13 games to throw 16 TD's more.
Hate to play the darksider, but I think we need to give Sachize a couple more weeks of the same good performances before we proclaim him the second coming of Namath. Yes he's done outstanding, but it's consistancy that matters. Buffalo will be a great test of that.
Peter King was late on his column this week also. Didn't want to talk about the Jets win as a big story, even though it was a huge divisional game and win on the road. I totally understand the media guys who are afraid of the Jets because they've been burned so often, like Don Banks and Chris Mortensen, but I don't understand the people who don't like them at all. So you don't like them, just report what happened and talk about it's significance. Ignoring them just makes you look petty and unprofessional. It's not like you've been burned before by getting on the bandwagon because mainly you've been just as petty and unprofessional when covering them in the past as you are now.
