Let's activate McKnight... it's time he starts contributing on the field... but Yeah I hope we see Greene active... we're not going to run the ball a ton against the Vikings so we should be in for a heavy dose of ground & pound vs the lowly Bills...
It's inevitable, Greene will breakout for a huge game. Bills only shot to stop us at our next match-up is to take-
I think Greene and LT will combine for 200 yards, but not sure if both will run for a 100 each. I'd think LT is the one that'll get the 100 yard game. We better get 2-3 rushing TDs against the Jills.
I would hand off to Green all day until the Bills forced me to do otherwise.... I'd sprinkle in LT as change of pace and give him a breather. Last year's game IMO was one of the worst all time coached games I've ever watched - There was no need for Sanchez to throw One pass all game yet, in those conditiosn with the lead they kept tossing the ball around... I don't blame Sanchez 1 bit for that loss - I blame Schotty 100%. GROUND AND POUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I drafted LT late. I'm trading Portis for Greene this week, just in case something happens to LT. It's hard to say what will happen last week. In both games last year the Jets crushed the bills with the ground game. They ran for 317 in the first, 249 in the second. The Jets actually lost that first game, Sanchez had 5 ints. I know in one of those games, Leon Washington went for like 99 yards, and Jones was over 100. I wouldn't be surprised if both Jets backs went over 100. The only thing that might stop them is Sanchez 2.0. :breakdance:
I agree with most. Lets give LT some rest and limit Sanchez's possible mistakes. Ground and pound with Greene!
Why don't you guys do a vCash bet? IATA only has $50 vcash - you can wipe him out if your trash talking is so precise...
Based on what? Please, do not let facts distort your world.. Week 1 LT 62 yards The entire Baltimore team 49 Week 2 LT 76 yards Greene 52 yards The ENTIRE NE team 52 Week 3 LT 70 yards The ENTIRE DOLPHINS TEAM 84
I've been thinking about this since monday. I think Greene needs at least 20 carries (assuming we are moving the ball effectively). I'd love to see him pound the ball, run downhill and get his confidence going. Ideally, I'd like to see LT just get a couple of carries and focus more on being a passing option out of the backfield. I wanna keep those legs fresh.
Its so confusing. Throw or run? Both work so well. You don't want to wear down LT, but it would be cool if he ran for 200 yards and 3 TD's (highly possible if it was the Jets gameplan). Odds are they will be balanced with Sanchez getting 2 TD's, Green 1 and Tomlinson 1.
Id start off with our hot hand, start LT and pass heavy for the 1st drive, maybe the 2nd depending how the 1st drive goes to set Greene up for even more success. Then switch Greene to carrying most the load, throwing in LT for 3rd downs, passes, goaline, the situational change of pace stuff. This is the type of offense i think we need to play for the rest of the year to be ultimately successful, but Greene's gotta get rolling first for it to work.(the type of offense i think was designed for this year)
I watched the preseason games and was surprised to see LT not only getting more carries, but also Greene getting pulled in the red zone for LT. So in every league this year, I took my hunch and not only passed on Greene every draft, I also picked up LT with a value pick in every league. And this week, I might finally start him.
Greene's numbers right now are not a big deal and are of zero concern to me. Go with the hot hand in LT and save Greene for the dogdays of november and december.
