Yes. I agree. The Namath era is the only Jets era that is seen "hip" or "cool" by most NFL fans, so why not use those uniforms?
How about we just wear our green "home" uniforms every game because it seems like some teams just do whatever they want and the other team always complies.
I would like an all Green alternate, same design but wear the home Jersey with green pants and a green helmet, that be cool. Or just a Green helmet with the home jersey.
the players and the team make the uni bad-ass. not the other way around. the mets wear black unis. they're decidedly *not* bad-ass. (disclaimer : i love the mets btw but consider those black unis to be rather poseur-ish)
Let's not vote for fur coats. Why? Blair Thomas is another Jet, and maybe is the only other one, to have worn a fur coat on the sideline.
I don't remember it well enough. He actually might have worn sunglasses. It was definitely a 1992 or 1993 game. I don't think he wore the fur coat in the season finale vs the Saints in '92. It may have been the 10-6 loss to the Colts in '92. There is also the possibility that he wore the fur coat more than once. He did miss a bunch of games both of those years.
This is the best looking black jersey I've seen. I used to own it, but I can't find it anywhere in my house
The 80's/90's Jerseys are so sick.... I know the teams were shitty usually with those jerseys... but still they look good. Imagine our nasty ass defense with those kelly greens with the JETS logo on the helmet... serious jerseys
Again, I know they were associated with lean years, but if they had to wear a throwback, I'd like to see the late 70's early 80's green and whites. Never really dug it when they inserted black into the uni's. Love the uni's now though. I think they are GREAT!!
That would look pretty disgusting. We used to do the green jersey and green pants and it looked horrible.
