Just wanted to point out how great the oline did in pass protection. Not a single sack given up, and on numerous plays the fins blitzed and the oline picked it up extremely well. This is a huge reason why Sanchez had a big game, he had the time to go through his reads and make the right throw. Granted, Slauson killed us those two plays...
MS + BE = TD  Bout time for a change. Yeah, over the last 2 games they have been good, and getting better.
Slauson's holding on the Sanchez touchdown run actually didn't bother me too much because it was one of those plays where if he didn't hold him, the QB would've gotten crushed. It's obvious that he has a lot of work to do in pass protection though.
Alot of people have said that it wasn't holding, imo it certainly was, theres the initial jersey grab, but then he should have let go, he does that and the TD stands, if the DT doesn't get to MS.
They played a good game. As for Slauson - I think he's still adjusting, but I also think he's doing a lot better than people here are giving him credit for. That first hold he got called for, he held to prevent Sanchez from getting hit below the knee, and I really don't think that second hold should have been called. It wasn't like he did an Alex Barron impression out there or anything.
Slauson sucks, plain and simple. But the line was great run blocking, and Woody really handled Cameron Wake pretty well.
I agree, Slauson needs time but he is playing Ok so far and for starting in his 3rd game that is what we need. As we get later in the season he needs to improve but right now he is learning and has flashed potential to be good to very good. I do think he held on the TD run. I called it live any time his hands are that high on the guy and the jersey is tugged it is going to be called. Now if his hands were lower that may not have been called.
Gotta agree with all of this. Its his 3rd start and its not like Miami has a cheesy defense. Mark had a bit of time and I will take a holding call over a sack any day.
he's the weak link, no doubt, but the rest of the line's pretty damn good. I can live with it, assuming he continues to improve.
