Is this Jeff Cumberland's first game active? Do we sign Coles? This hurts the team alot if he is out that's 5 starters out (pace, revis, jenkins, edwards, and holmes). The positive is if we can still play well with out that many guys we have a pretty great team.
^That's certainly yet to be seen. I think it would be a mistake to assume he'll be there. The Jets need to make a statement that this behavior is unacceptable.
Rex isn't going to sit our #1 WR and leave us with Cotchery, the Clown and an injured Brad Smith to face a 2-0 division rival on the road whom he's never beat. To boot, we have a young developing QB who is starting to build some confidence here and he has chemistry with Braylon. This Fins defense is no joke. He doesn't have the luxury of an extra roster spot if he decides to just sit Edwards. I will be shocked if Rex benches him. There may be some creative punishment but he will be in the lineup Sunday.
Seems to me likely the team will suspend in him some fashion for this game. Jets obviously very thin at WR. Wouldn't surprise me to see them try to sign Coles.
Indeed. I stand corrected from when I said "with Holmes out, this is the best opportunity for Clowney to step up." This is now the best opportunity.
Minus Chansi Stuckey, these are the same recievers we won with early last season. If there is no Braylon, we will do okay.
You mean two years ago when we had Favre, not a second year QB. The fins defense wasn't nearly as good as it is today, and Stucky was good for us that game. We can't go into this game with 2 healthy receivers.
I meant we won without Braylon before he got here last season with pretty much what we still have. It ain't great, but with LT and Keller to throw to (and Green) I don't see us as being too limited in the passing game.
