I am compassionate to him and I am not vindictive at all. Believing that a person should be punished for being an idiot isn't being vindictive - its being fair. But unlike some here, I'm not going to make up bullshit excuses for drunk drivers. He is lucky he didn't hurt or kill anybody. He is lucky he didn't pull a donte stallworth. I think he should be punished. If you have a problem with punishing drunk drivers that is up to you. He should be suspended and fined by the NFL. If Holmes loses 4 weeks for a joint - then certainly Edwards should face something similar for the far worse offense of drunk driving.

There have been 15 D.U.I.'s by NFL players in the last 12 months. Know what the total suspended games so far are? Zero I may have missed one suspension, not sure how often the database I was using is updated, but are you expecting Braylon to take the fall for the 14 DUI's before him?

Suspending Edwards only punishes the innocent Jet fans that have been waiting 40 years for this season. Fining Edwards only punishes Edwards.
