I'm talking about the article being insignificant and not warranting a re-write or follow up of any sort. All the article is saying, imo, is that it was a sick highlight reel catch, which it is. Still play of the game in terms of pure highlight reel.
I got the sense from the article that Moss beating Revis was bigger then the game. Was it an amazing catch? Absolutely but it wasn't the greatest play in the history of the NFL. The fact that the article was written at halftime shows the arrogance of this guy. The way the Jets went right down the field and put points on the board after they scored that TD should have said to this guy that quite possibly we have a game. There were many other factors that went into that play like the injury and the Jets not being set after they got burned by Hernandez. To be fair if your gonna write it in that way then you shoudl mention those factors not ignore them because they did play into it you can't just play off Revis being injured on the play as an afterthought. If the Pats win the game write away but the fact that it was a pretty good game at the half suggests that maybe his ball washing of a guy who had 2 catches in the entire game was a tad premature.
Thats Randy being Randy. He knows the Patriots are not going to give him a new contract, so he doesn't really give a shit on the field then. That's what happened in Minnesota. That's what happened in Oakland. If he thinks he won't be with a team, he'll quit on them. That catch was a great catch, but either he was trying to show off, or he simply didn't care if he had dropped it, cuz he never even thought about securing the ball with the second hand.
