I give you the Boston Herald

    http://www.bostonherald.com/blogs/s...triots-randy-moss-finally-leave-revis-island/

The Patriots lead the Jets 14-10 at halftime, and the score is important. But that’s not what anyone is talking about right now. It’s not what anyone will be talking about tomorrow.

No, the world will be talking about Randy Moss finally leaving Revis Island. And he did so in almost unbelievable fashion.

On 1st-and-10 from the Jets 34-yard line with 1 minute left, Moss lined up on the right side and beat Darrelle Revis off the line, making him turn around and giving Moss one step.

That was all he needed, as QB Tom Brady lofted a pass into the end zone, one that looked a little too high. But Moss reached up with his right hand, caught the ball, secured it in his paw, and never even used his other hand to cradle it. Never.

Moss simply held it high above as he ran through the end zone for a sick, sick score. Revis, meanwhile, grabbed at his hamstring and headed to the sidelines to be worked on by the trainers. Moss had no reaction after his TD. You may see that on a highlight reel somewhere. Un-be-lievable.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Um yeah, ignore the fact that the Jet's weren't set on defense or that Revis was injured on the play. It's ok, I'll give them that amazing catch because that was about the only highlight of the day for them. Did Moss have any receptions before or after that? 28-14 is all I care about. Moss could have burned Revis twice for TD's because we won and that's all that matters.

So they're going to claim victory because Moss beat a conerback for a TD? Isn't he supposed to do that?

It's like the writer of this article doesn't care New England got shit on, as long as Moss beat Revis once it's just as good as winning.

A great WR would have done more than go through the motions in the second half. I guess Randy really does want that new contract, except he thinks he doesn't have to perform in order to get paid.

You know people are jealous of Revis when Randy Moss smoked him for a whopping two catches, 38 yards and a TD. Was the TD spectacular? Yea. Did Moss 'Beat' the Jets secondary? No. Maybe the Herald can write about the 2 INTs Moss was involved in.

That really shows what a cocky asshole the writer is, I bet he feels like a dick now that the Pats lost.

Actually based on this article it shows that wide receivers have to make ridiculously impossoble grabs to beat Revis. In other words this idiot only succeeds in reaffirming that Revis is the best cover CB in the league.

What a brawl that's going to be between the top two defenses in the league.

Lamarr Woodley is going to look great in Green and White next year!!

I would take him over any other OLB out there.

Congrats on two big wins for you guys.

Just some hack writer, no one cares about Moss' touchdown catch because we lost.. The fact that he wrote an article like this suggesting that Moss' 1 TD catch is a bigger story then the Pats losing proves that he's a fucking idiot.

The Patriots defeated the Jets in the one-handed catches contest.

The Steelers will re-sign him. Don't worry. They are just hamstrung because the max contract they can offer him under the current collective bargaining agreement would be less than a million a year or something. They know that's not a fair offer and they want to pay him fair value. Harrison, Woodley and Timmons are going to be beasts in this D for at least a few more years.

No one has mentioned the TD in the media, from what I've seen/heard, because they know Revis was hurt and the Pats lost, so it doesn't matter.

The Pats haven't lost like that to the Jets in a long time, and that's why no one gives a shit about the TD pass.

Also, Moss had two catches, which makes him a total non-factor in the game.

Again, that blog post was a reaction at halftime to the Moss catch. I doubt the writer of it felt the same way after the second half.

    oh ok.

Well then he needs to write about the insignificance of his last article.... or about his own insignificance.

Eh Moss has Revis beat, Brady overthrew him slightly and that's the only reason for the 1 hander. Pretty sure the author gets at with his "slightly too high" comment. Either way that was one beauty of a catch that you have to appreciate even as a Jet fan, at least if you ever have tried to make that type of a catch yourself. Pretty ridiculous.

Moss beat Revis on the route (for whatever reason, not really important) with a play of the year candidate and the Jets dominated the 2nd half and won the game. But guess what, when I think about this game later on in the season, the first thing that will come to mind is the Moss catch and then maybe the LT 4th and 1 run or the Keller TD/Taylor FF. So whether it means much or not, the author is pretty much right. That was hard not to appreciate.
