Jets: 4-Bills 5-Vikings 6-Broncos 7-Bye 8-Packers 9-Lions 10-Browns 11-Texans Dolphins: 4-Patriots 5-Bye 6-Packers 7-Steelers 8-Bengals 9-Ravens 10-Titans 11-Bears Patriots: 4-Dolphins 5-Bye 6-Ravens 7-Chargers 8-Vikings 9-Browns 10-Steelers 11-Colts I think this schedule speaks for itselves. If we do what we are supposed to do by week 12 we could be breaking away. Obviously after last season, i'm not going to make predictions, but its crucial we beat Miami. We will enter the easy part of our schedule while our division rivals enter a harder schedule. The Dolphins especially, they don't get a break for a couple months. I'm really pumped, hopefully we can get this done. And that Texans game....might be pretty significant if the Texans keep playing how they are.
Yeah, the major difference in schedules is we get the Browns/Lions back to back. There cannot be a loss there.
Thanks for posting that. I hadn't taken a good look at the PATS and FINS schedules lately. The Dolphins have it rough. With the exception of maybe the Titans...and it's still early to tell with them....there isn't an easy game there.
Yea thats why its crucial we beat the Dolphins, cuz if we lose we will be 2 games back. Then our "easy" schedule will be more of just catching up to them. If we win, then we have an opportunity to break away big time. And that Texans game, we could be playing the 2 seed or even the 1. Who knows tho. If we just beat the Dolphins, things will be looking very VERY good.
You guys got pretty fortunate getting a bye week before your toughest opponent of the year. Stinks that the Pats pulled the Colts and Chargers for the 2 extra games based on seeding from last year. Jets got the Broncos and Texans. Pats definitely got screwed in that department, their schedule is intense this year.. The whole AFC East schedules are pretty intense this year, but throwing the Colts and Chargers on top of it hurts.
We have to beat the bad teams, no losses to sub-.500 teams. Detroit, Cleveland, Denver, and Buffalo have to be wins and hopefully we win 1/2 of Packers/Dolphins/Vikings.
Been saying for weeks that the Dolphins will be no better than 3-6 after 9 games. I don't care if they're 2-0 right now. I've seen both games and they just aren't that good. Just for example ... they went life-or-death against the Bills on opening day. Yesterday ... Packers 34 Bills 7. That speaks volumes to me. The Dolphins are about to lose 4 straight starting with us on Sunday night. I get the feeling there are alot of Jet fans who are nervous about this game ... not me. I think we win comfortably ... meaning I won't be biting my nails during the last 5 minutes. Let's say Jets 26 - Dolphins 13.
Yeah but they have Oakland on the road at least. Also: Bengals - Road Ravens - Road Packers -Road Our road: Denver Clevland Detroit
I agree - I want to see this team AGGRESSIVELY DESTROY the bad teams, i.e. Buffalo. We cannot play down to these teams levels, like we have done in the past. A win is a win, but sending a message while winning is even better. (See Packers 34-7 win over the Bills, there is no reason why we cannot do this too) Although I respect Favre, I think the Vikings game will be a very winnable game. Hell Favre may not even be quarterback by the time we face them in 3 weeks. It all starts in Miami next week, got to keep the momentum up.
Yea i'm confident we can destroy these weaker teams. Last year was different story tho. I was confident last year but it didnt go over to well. Heres the difference tho, experience. we definately arent walking into these games with the same attitude like last year. We know we have to play to beat them.
It would be great to show up with an extremely confident "you can't compete with us" mentality and then beat up on the bad teams. We may actually have the defense to allow us to do that this year. We rarely get to enjoy "laughers".
